Commencement / Britechester (6)
Cosmo Fernsby has been quietly honing his skills. He and is best friend Noa have completed their business plan with help from acclaimed chef Paula Dapp, aka Noa’s “Auntie Bear” and they’ll be soft launching their patisserie catering business in the fall.
Instead of getting a place, Cosmo has decided to stay at home to build income. His mother Miracle has no complaints, as she didn’t wanna let her baby go in the first place. His father Wallace believes his decision to save money is wise.
Miracle and Wallace are still teaching at Uni, and Wallace’s political podcast is at the top of the charts.
His brother Curtis and his friend Zeke are making good progress with their arcade in San Myshuno; they’ve managed to break even and are actually starting to turn a profit.
Steady as she goes 👌🏾✨
It’s going to be quite the transition for Luc Benoit, who has completed his masters in history and will be leaving Britechester for a time. He has considered taking up an offer to return as a professor, but first he’d like to complete his book on the connection of Willow Creek and Creole history.
Grande-Mère Benoit has had her calendar cleared for this event ever since her grandson went back to school. He’ll be coming back to stay with her for a time while he finishes his book, but now that she’s met Noa, she doesn’t expect that to be very long.
Noa Broussard raised half of her seed money for her and Cosmo‘s business from her on campus sales alone. They wanted to do deliveries as well, but they didn’t have the equipment. Cosmo was willing to buy a bike, but they couldn’t do that and keep their grades up.
Now that they’ve graduated, they can take over the Broussard kitchen now and again. Plus, Auntie Bear already agreed to add some of their desserts to the menu as a small batch limited edition item.
They’re well on their way.
✏️ look how far our girl has come - I can’t believe we watched her get born right there in the kitchen 😭😭😭
Behold - the first time the Broussards have managed to stay still for a family picture in years!
( also, the twins are with Niñera for the same reason the Rasoyas left their twins home )
Noa will be coming home for a while, but she’s very interested in getting into that businesses and hobbies life - how nice would it be to have a place of her own with a business attached? Glammie’s ready to sign the paperwork, but Noa wants to earn it on her own.
Sabrina posed a counteroffer: she and her husband Coop were already deciding what to give her for her graduation present; perhaps they can just give her cash instead? Between that and her trust, that should give her a solid jumping off point.
Her parents Esther and Bruce are so very proud, but our secretly lamenting that they’re big old house is getting emptier by the day. Bubbe Ida says the upstairs feels like a ghost town sometimes.
There we are – all three Broussard kids (all born in game) graduated! 😭😭😭
Micah, a successful writer, husband and father
Noa, a gourmet pastry chef with a gourmand trait
And Shalom, diligently moving up on her movie set crew
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next ✨
Now, Noa and Luc have leveled up their relationship, but have it discussed what their next steps will be.
Luc is prepared to give Noa time to figure her next steps out; he already knows she’s the one so he’ll be here when she’s ready for that conversation.
Noa is smitten with Luc, but she’s definitely Sabrina’s grandchild - no way will she settle down with a man until she has a clear idea of what she wants for herself.
