Connor and Hank’s natural state of being is bickering just for the sake of bickering and it’s their main form of communication. Hank’s called connor a moron sixteen times in one day and Connor doesn’t use names but he makes “Lieutenant” sound like a curse word. Hank wouldn’t have it any other way.

dropping a case file on his desk, his eyes darted down to glance at her just as she looked up to catch the angry look he wore. “no good news,” he muttered, moving to slump in the chair that was across from hers. “in fact, he pulled me off the damn case.” jake was trying very hard to keep his cool, but keeping his anger in check wasn’t always a strong suit for him. “something about being too close to the case, whatever.”
