The new Belarusian ruble is the official currency of Belarus since 1 July 2016. The symbol for the ruble is Br and the ISO 4217 code is BYN. The coins of up to 5 kapeykas are in steel and copper; the 10, 20, 50 coins in steel, copper and brass.
