Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter develops kids’ ideas and wishes to design a volumetric and silvery-wrapped children centre in Copenhagen.

What if kids could contribute to design their own kindergarten?  Dorte Mandrup's Ama’r Children Culture House in #Copenhagen is the first playhouse developed with children’s fanciful and fun input.The result is an architectural Villa Vellekulla, the famous home of children-book character Pippi Longstocking. “The project does not have a start and end as other ordinary houses do” say at Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter.“The studio considered the children’s countless ideas and wishes through- out the design process. They have created a house with many intriguing angles, caves and stairs that provide a wealth of opportunities for creative expression and exploration.
