D&D vessels live rent free in my head I wanna hear everything and anything you have to say abt it let’s go 👀👀👀👀
fuck. uh. i promise i haven't forgotten about the anons, I've just been sick. and then tired. and then depressed. you know how it is sometimes.
anyway i have two different anon asks about the vessels in D&D so here's how I'm gonna go about it. the whole concept isn't very well fleshed out, so I'll talk about the basics (class, race, general personality) in this ask and then talk about their relationships before and after their group is formed in the second one a little later. i also have visual references for all of them in the works, so look forward to that i suppose!
anyway let's go gamers. they're all multiclassed so I'll be writing their classes as if at character level 20 for the sake of convenience
Vessel - Twilight cleric 10/Archfey warlock 10. fallen aasimar; used to be human but got a little fucked up over the time spent with Sleep. Sleep is, as expected, his warlock patron and cleric deity (the warlock part came first). he's more of a local cryptid rather than a person; to be fair, they all are, but Vessel especially so. he rarely ever talks even with his party, and when he does, it's rarely ever straightforward.
II - Shadow sorcerer 18/Grave cleric 2. drow turned dhampir. more often than not, you won't even see he's there. either he stands in the corner, blasting you with the ice cold autism stare, or he hangs around the party, where he's hidden among his more eye-catching teammates. he's the type of person you wouldn't think could take you in a fight and that'd be the mistake that gets you killed. he also has a dog made of the same shadow as his cloak and maybe the rest of him. she's a sweetheart, he claims, but only to him. and Vessel, for some reason.
III - Glamour bard 14/Trickery cleric 6. drow turned hexblood. the slut sweettalker of the group, the one who gets them out of situations where no violence would be most preferred. he almost makes no sense to outsiders, but he moves just in tandem with his teammates. most of the time, at least. sometimes he fucks off to do his own thing, much like a cat.
IV - Valor bard 14/War cleric 6. half-drow, half-tiefling. bundle of energy and anger often looking to pick a fight. while III sweettalks others to get himself out of trouble, IV shittalks his way right into it. always alert, always on guard. if there are any moments of respite in his life, you surely won't catch them.
so that's— yeah, that's the basic gist of 'em. next ask published Eventually. i've been really low on energy lately, but i promise i'm workin' on it.
