Exalted Secret Santa 10th Edition Character Reference

Broken Boughs, Night Caste Solar Exalt

My character from a now-ended campaign focused around the Dreaming Sea, Boughs is always charming, never at fault, sometimes a flock of starlings. His hobbies include drinking wine, collecting noble titles, and lying by omission. He’s a in his late 20’s with medium brown skin, curly dark brown hair, yellow eyes, and the charismatic smile of an exalt who never considered that unnatural mental influence might be morally wrong. Broken Boughs is tall but not particularly muscular with the approachable, slightly unkempt air of someone who forgets to make time to take care of himself. When possible, he lounges instead of sitting and leans instead of standing.

He carries no obvious weapons and his usual style of dress is something like, 'scruffy merchant prince'. His anima banner is five golden dogs (think Belgian shepherds) with feathery starling wings running around a large ornate door they’re guarding but it rarely shows up. If you want more ideas, I’ve got a whole aesthetic blog for this guy: @suspiciousyetconvenient If you draw him to look a little like Oscar Isaac, you'll make me cackle.

My circle got REALLY into the game he's from and developed a bunch of AUs for it. There's a Dragonblooded AU where he was formerly known as Ragara Esonan, having fled his House after the family got in trouble for demonic shenanigans. He's very much a water aspect.

There's a housecat AU where all the PCs are cats that our long-suffering ST is pet-sitting for. Boughs insists on being an outdoor cat despite being declawed, using his impressive size (mostly fluff) to intimidate threats and rivals. To humans, he is sweet and affectionate, a lazy lap-cat who secretly has at least three families who think of him as their own and a knack for getting into places he shouldn't.

Copper Crow, Dawn Caste Solar Exalt

I haven’t played in an Exalted game in over a year, so... for my second character, have one that a friend of mine played! Copper Crow is a tiny old lady who’s always ready with a hot meal or a piece of ginger candy. She keeps her long hair, just starting to turn grey, tied back in a bun and usually wears dark, comfortable clothing similar to a gi under her apron for her food cart. She just also happens to be a former member of the Mirrors, an elite and fanatical corps of spies and assassins who don’t normally live long enough to retire. Here she is just after having beaten up a hyena-man:

That drinking horn is hers now. Her anima banner is a trumpeting elephant matriarch, and when it shows up, you better watch out. This character's aesthetic blog is over at @chestnutcorvidae .
