With copper coming to Minecraft, unfortunately Mojang said there won't be copper armor or tools. But what if copper is only an ingredient in smithing materials, similar to netherite scrap?
What if we use the smithing table to create copper alloys? We could add copper to iron to make bronze. Bronze would be the more functional version of copper, for armor and tools.
Or if they really want to go crazy with it, they could add tin, and combine that with copper as the recipe for bronze. In general bronze armor and tools really feel like they would fit in Minecraft.
