I found a mushroom! First one in an age, be still my fungi obsessed heart. This is perhaps a Mica Cap (#coprinusmicaceus) or Glistening Ink Cap as it has salt or mica-like speckles - so says @seekbyinat . It looks a bit darker than the more tawny pictures in my Roger Phillips Mushroom book however, but I did find it around buried wood (we found this on a wood stump border at the Stave Hill Ecology Park) and the Glistening Inkcap is also apparently one of the first mushrooms you’re likely to see after winter - so perhaps the app is spot on.
