I’ve got a bunch of mini mushroom plant stakes available in the shop after yesterday’s update- including my favourite which is this little Inky Cap! 🍄🌿 I’ll be working on sending out orders in between taking care of my mom and grandma for the next couple weeks. I found a mushroom! First one in an age, be still my fungi obsessed heart. This is perhaps a Mica Cap (#coprinusmicaceus) or Glistening Ink Cap as it has salt or mica-like speckles - so says @seekbyinat . It looks a bit darker than the more tawny pictures in my Roger Phillips Mushroom book however, but I did find it around buried wood (we found this on a wood stump border at the Stave Hill Ecology Park) and the Glistening Inkcap is also apparently one of the first mushrooms you’re likely to see after winter - so perhaps the app is spot on.
