                Well, in all honesty, as he stared dumbfounded at the small phone screen, the boy did not know whether to feel horrified, embarrassed, or absolutely flattered; for one, horrified because he had meant to delete the picture instead of sending it to someone, the mere thought of taking what people called NUDES had been a curious one in theory, but in action... well, he didn’t only feel silly, but slightly wrong.  Not to mention the fact that he had sent them to   L y d i a  of all people... well, not that he didn’t have a reason, but really?  The first text of the day to one’s girlfriend   &   it was of a picture of him in the  c r u d e  disposition in which he had been brought into the world?

                Yes, hi, good morning, look, isn’t my penis amazing?  Right, he was not supposed to be embarrassed by that, then. 

                But then came the truth of her responding texts themselves; for lack of knowledge on a little screen where he could not see the true reactions in the other’s face,   &   all he could do was take such compliments onto himself.  Porn star?  REALLY?  He didn’t even work to have a body as... well,  l a n k y,  as he did.  All muscles from lacrosse, but small bits of fat from the eons of junk food he inhaled a day; porn stars did not look like him  ( he would know, he even had a coded bookmark for his favourite porn site ),  they were big  ( everywhere ),  full of muscle,   &,   weirdly enough, most of the time quite bald, too.  With tattoos on their head or one of those Popeye worthy muscles of theirs. 

                If she weren’t joking,   &   he really DID look like a porn start to her, then he couldn’t help wondering quite loudly the very same thing his long thin fingers tapped  w i l d l y  on his screen:
