There are far worse things going on in the world right now, but I decided to cut a couple streaming accounts off my monthly budget. Things are getting tight. Crave+HBO, Disney +, and Marvel Unlimited are gone, saving about $45. I still have Netflix, Amazon Prime (annual membership), Shudder (at $5.99, it’s the most reasonable of them all), Criterion (annual), plus Spotify.
Have you cut any of your channels? What did you keep and why?
Cord-Cutting vs. Extraction
A very brief intro to the above that I’m still putting partially behind a cut, because long:
Just as often as folks talk about soul ties, soul connections, and twin flames, there’s much ado about letting go of those connections that don’t serve you (ugh, sorry), releasing, and cutting cords. But let us consider cord extraction, which is more thorough, and why both can be useful in the spiritualist or witch’s toolbox.
Cord-cutting is the practice of taking an energetic connection and severing it by ritual or other means. This may be preferable in situations where physical or social distance is not sufficient in addressing emotional turmoil or other harm created by the connection, and spiritual means are needed to bring that to a stop.
Cord extraction, by comparison, is the total removal of a connection. It requires grasping and pulling at the root (and, by extension, the root cause or lesson), then healing/sealing at the extraction site. Like surgery or gardening, energy work does sometime require this level of precision.
It is useful to develop competency in both cord-cutting and cord extraction. More beneath the cut:
just did the craziest fucking cord cutting and at the end the cord was low key giving saddam hussein hiding spot
