Julius returned to his cavern in the ice after the events of the Lökahi Festival. He pictured the girl he had seen on the beach again. Her dress, her hair, those flowers, THAT FLOWER!
"That flower!" He bellowed into the depths of his own, listening to the sound echo and distort as it bounced off of the ice. He heard the response quickly, a cadence of quacks, also echoing, if softer, off of the rounded ice walls.
"Yess, Daddiesss. Home!" The flesh on his face contorted, covering his left eye and pulling the side of his mouth into a twisted grin. "Buti'mnonetoohappy!" He ran the words together quickly as he spat them across the room. Four of the penguins cowered, retreating to a corner, leaving one standing before Julius.
"If. I. Noticed. The. Flower. Sshurely. SShh-FUCK! Cordelia. Sheee. Sssaw. Too."
He ripped a piece of burnt parchment from his stash and scrawled a quick note.
Dearest Cordelia,
I have something you want... Where to meet?
Julius
He watched the paper as the ink dried. "Like. Boiling. Water. Thisssssssssssss."
He whispered, crafting the spell with his mind more than his tongue lest his lisp destroy the magic. He watched the paper curl as a fog enveloped it and it was gone. Off to the desk of the librarian.
He paced for a few minutes, one of the penguins dodging his tentacles as he walked back and forth. "Darwin! Just! UGH!" Julius sat down in frustration.
