After reblogging some Gulo and Cordula stuff, I might make Cordula's hairstyle more of a loose braid look where some hair is braided and some isn't since I like drawing her with hair strands BUT I also like drawing her with braids and black braided hairstyles realistically don't have the strands loose like how I draw them.

And it fits her a lot more in terms of vibes

DAY 3 (ROMANTIC F/Os) - Pit

It’s been so long since I’ve written stuff for my Kid Icarus S/I, I can’t remember exactly what her meeting story with Pit is like (especially since at one point, it kind of needed to include my friend's S/I in order to work dfjg) BUT here’s what I can remember (and am…somewhat BSing kdjfg)

💜 The goddess Aphrodite has many little angels working for her, but among her favorites is Cordula - a love cherub whose job is, naturally, to spread love among the humans below. Her four wings make her one of the quickest and most agile cherubs (although she tends to have a hard time stopping djkfg), and the special gold-tipped arrows given to her by Aphrodite make her job a little easier.

💜 Since the gods and goddesses interact with each other often, Cordula has had the opportunity to meet some of them when Mistress Aphrodite brings her along, as well as meeting some of the other beings that work for them.

💜 Once, she tagged along for a visit between Aphrodite and Palutena, to chat about the wellbeing of the humans below. It was there that Cordula met Pit, who Palutena brought along as well. Within the one conversation the two angels had, Cordula found herself charmed by his bright personality, contagious optimism and quirky sense of humor.

💜 For a while, Cordula was afraid to say anything about this sudden crush. How ironic for a love cherub! But Aphrodite knows right away - of course, she is the goddess of love after all - and then proceeds to make all kinds of excuses to let Cordula see Pit again. Having her deliver random things to Palutena, bringing her along to visit the goddess of light for the most casual of reasons, anything she can think of to get them together in the same place.

💜 It’s when Hades starts his BS that Cordula ends up directly helping Palutena and Pit, at Aphrodite's suggestion. Cordula isn't as strong as Pit, but her quick flying and special arrows are good support, making them a great team and helping them to become closer 👀 (much to Aphrodite’s joy). And when she's not in the fray, she’s helping to pacify the warring humans below.

💖 There have been several instances where Cordula encourages Pit to aim his arrows…at the butt of his targets. At some point he brings up this weird fixation, and Cordula states it's a force of habit - as a love cherub, she has to make sure those who are hit by her gold-tipped arrows endure the least amount of pain possible, so she always aims for the cushiest part of the body. That's great and all, but Pit’s shooting at things that are trying to KILL HIM here, so their pain isn't really a concern, and he says as much… So Cordula nervously admits it's really just absurdly fun to say “shoot ‘em in the butt” on sight fjdhfj

After months of saying I'd get around to it, finally sculpted Cordula's hearing aids. They are TEENSY and I still have more sanding to do after I bake them lol. Also made a cane that DEFINITELY will be sanded a bit for her so :)

My fave Etsy eye shop closed or is just. Gone mysteriously so I had to find a new one which was SO scary. But i bought two pairs of eyes, one 14mm and one 16mm (initially for my franken project lol) and they are SO pretty I had to share.

First up, I tried the 14mm in the franken project and it was FAR too small so I tried them in Cordula and they really bring her to life a lot! Definitely keeping those for her!

^ they are so hard to see but they are very sparkly and a really nice purple :) she had pink ones in before that I felt really got lost in her faceup

Second, these GORGEOUS sparkly brown and blue ones in 16mm. I wanted to give my Franken doll heterochromia because I feel a glass eye would make a lot of sense w her character and I had also wanted Dindrane to have different colored eyes, so I swapped his normal pair (18mm with a small iris) around so they would each have one of the gold flecked black eyes and it's PERFECT. Again lighting is so so so bad and they are way prettier irl!

^ it is the EXACT vibes i was looking for so I'm thrilled! It was the last thing I was waiting for before I began the faceup so I'm VERY excited to start!

The colors came together really well :) just waiting on her turtleneck to arrive in the mail but the cooler pinks in the eyes and hair really work well w the warmer tones of the faceup imo :)
