Unforgettable Memories - Chapter Four

Chapter 4 "Ash, so who was that guy Graham from last night?" Kelly asked for the umpteenth time that day. "Um.. He's a friend.. old friend" Ashley answered. "Well, care to tell more?" Kelly asked, her eyes begging for more descriptive answers. "Oh look! Your brother and Jill and Kate are here!" Ashley quipped, thankful they all had woken up. "Kelly has questions. Graham ones" Ashley mouthed the words. "Kelly has questions about ham? What kind of ham?" Jason asked as he rubbed his eyes. "That guy Graham from last night, who was he?" Kelly asked, "You guys promised me if I ever had any questions, you'd tell me the answers" Jason paused before speaking up. "He's not just a friend. He was your ex boyfriend" Jason answered. Kelly quietened down and thought of questions, "How long did it last? Was it bad? Did we end on good terms? Why did we break up? Did we break up?" "It was about a year." Jill answered "You ended on good terms, mutual decision" Kate continued. "You broke up cause you both were busy with work and managing your individual careers. It became hard for the both of you. You guys ended okay. Don't worry" Ashley assured. "Does Cory know?" Kelly asked. They all nodded, "Yes I know" Cory said as he overheard what they had talked about. "We'll give you two some privacy" Jason said as they left. "I'm sorry, don't blame them. I was just asking some questions, and its been so hard not knowing. Its so hard being curious about everything" She complained. "I'm not stopping you, its just I get a little jealous over your exes. I'm sorry too, I know the person who's been having the worst experience is you" "I'm happy I remember my mother. And I'm happy I remember you, and my family and my friends. There are just missing pieces that has to be filled" Cory hugged her then he swore with his right hand up, in front of her, "I, Cory Churko solemnly promise to answer your questions, truthfully and honestly. Well to the questions I know the right answers to" he chuckled. "You're an idiot, you know that?" Kelly smiled as she played with his hair "You know that you're a dork, right?" Cory teased. "But you love me" she smiled "But I love you" Cory smiled as he kissed her. "And I love you" Kelly said as she hugged him and kissed his neck.

Chapter 3

"Guess who I saw the other day" Graham told.

"Umm, who?" Aben asked, completely clueless.

"Kelly. I saw Kelly at the coffee shop downtown and I think she was with Cory" Graham remembered.

Aben took a drink from his cup, “Um, did you talk? What did she say?”

Graham nodded, “Yeah, she was very distant though, it was so weird. It was awkward. Well for me anyways. She’s never so cold like that. She really knows how to avoid an ex” he said as he sat back on his chair.

"We had a concert that night, we asked her and Cory to get coffee for us on their way to the venue" Aben recalled.

“Are she and Cory, you know…?” He asked.

"Dating? Well yeah… and I have a feeling he’ll get a ‘yes’ pretty soon" Aben told.

"Oh" Graham replied, he stayed quiet.

"Are you jealous or something?" Aben laughed.

"No, why would I be? We’re over and she definitely moved on" he shrugged.

“Yeah, but have you moved on?” Aben questioned.

Graham stayed silent.

"Dude.. you gotta get over Kelly, its been years"

“Shut up, I know. Aben, it’s Kelly though, she, you know how we were. You knew us. You and Ashley were the only people we told for like the first six months of our relationship.” Graham quipped.

Graham thought about it for a second asking himself if he was really over her. He knew he was but he couldn’t shake the feeling of jealousy and animosity towards Cory. Graham and Cory were friends, but will they still be friend now? They were more of acquaintances rather than friends.

Aben’s phone rang, “Hey babe, yeah I’m with Graham still..” He answered.

"You should take him with you, we’re having a night out at the pub" Ashley A said.

"Okay, let me ask him.. You wanna go out tonight?" He asks. Graham nodded, "We’ll be there babe, see ya" then Aben hanged up.

Aben and Graham met up with Ashley A, Jill, Kate and Ashley who already had a table for them with another four seats open.

"Who’s the other two seats for?" Graham asked as he sat next to Kate after he had given her a hug.

"For Kelly and Cory" Kate answered and like her and the rest they realized how awkward it would be, well for everyone but Kelly that is.

"At least she won’t feel it, only we will" Ashley noticed.

“How fortunate for her” Jill smiled.

Then moments later, Kelly and Cory had arrived hands intertwined, with great smiles on their faces and the rest knew what that meant. “I’m guessing she said yes, for the second time” Ashley A said.

Kelly excitedly smiled and gave Cory a kiss, as Graham slammed his drink. “Hey Graham, I didn’t know you’d be here” Cory said as they sat across from him and Kate.

And the awkwardness began.

"Yeah, Ashley and Aben invited me" Graham smiled. Graham stood up and asked for another drink from the bartender and he sat on the stool. Kelly walked up to his right.

"Two margaritas, please" She smiled. Graham faced her.

"Hey, how are you?" Graham asked. "Graham, right? I’m great, how are you?" She asked.

"I’m alright. I’m alright" Graham drug out swallowing his tequila shot and going back to the table.

"Aben I have to go. Something came up, I’ll see you soon" Graham apologized to the rest, hugged the ladies, except for Kelly who was still waiting, then left.

"So, how did we know him?" Kelly asked as she sat down with two margaritas, one for her and one for Ashley.

“We’ll tell you later sweetie” Ashley smiled as she looked at Cory, “For now, lets eat! It’s a good night to celebrate that you two are now engaged!”

“So.. tell us how you propose.. This time around, of course” Kate pleased.

“Are you going to tell them or am I?” Cory asked Kelly as he wrapped his hand around her waist.

“No, you should. You did great, baby! You got me to say yes!” Kelly laughed as she kissed him on the cheek.

“It’s better with your perspective, mine is just very nerve wrecking and jittery.. so you tell them”

“I was a hot mess, bawling my eyes out! I thought you were just tying your shoe when you knelt down!”

“For the love of God, tell the story already!” Jill told.

Cory took a deep breath, “We went to where we had our first date, that long walk, biking, walking we took. I’ve had the ring on me since she returned it to me, when she woke up”

“You telling that, God I feel horrible now—”

Cory chuckled, “Don’t be, I told you I’d work for it and I did, now here we are.. back to the story—”

“We were just walking along the sidewalk, and he stopped me and says, ‘This is it, this is where I we stopped to have our second first kiss’ then he knelt down”

Kelly looked towards Cory, “Then I asked her, “ Will you marry me?”

The girls awed. “Excuse me for a sec” Kate said as she picked up her phone.

“Yeah, we can talk. Meet you at our spot” she said, then hung up.

“Who was that?” Jill asked, Kat shook her head, “Just a friend of mine” she smiled.

“Will we be meeting this friend soon?” Kelly asked, Kate just smiled. “Who knows?” She shrugged, walking towards the bar to order another drink.

This isn't a lot, but bear with me. These are just filler chapters. ___________________________________ Chapter 2 Once tour was over, they were back to their seemingly regular life or as Kelly would like to think so. She is still a bit clueless, confused, and afraid maybe? She just needed the missing puzzle pieces. "That's the last of it!" Cory yelled as he carried in the last box of Jill and Kate's stuff. "Thanks Cory!" The two yelled, as they were in their room unpacking every box Cory and Jason had carried inside. "I'm glad you guys are living here with me and Kelly. It's gonna be so much easier for me answering questions and all. So thank you, and I hope it won't stop what you two are going to be doing with your careers" Ashley said. "No worries, Ash. We have a lot to be thankful for Kelly not only she gave us a job but she's also a great friend so we're here for the both of you" Kate smiled. "What do you guys keep in that apartment of yours? So many boxes" Cory said as he set down two boxes on the floor. "Stuff" Jill told. "How was she today? Did she wake up okay? Any headaches?" Cory asked as he tried to catch his breath. "Cor, she's okay. Better than she was months ago, there's a lot of us now. So we'll be okay" Jill assured. "Don't worry your girlfriend is all good, since you know.." Ashley teased. "Do you think I have a chance, with you know?" He asked Ashley once again. "Well, what do you think?" Kelly asked as she walked in obviously overhearing their little conversation. Cory quickly stood up from his seat, "Do I?" He asked as he walked closely to her, so close to where they could almost kiss. "Get a room!" Jill and Ashley yelled as Kate laughed. " "And to answer your question, you do have a chance" Kelly smiled. The girls squealed like teenagers, "Do you want the room? Or do you want us to get a hotel room for the night so you two can do your thing?" Kate teased as they watch Cory and Kelly. Cory hugged her, "You won't regret saying yes to me, and I promise you that" he swore. "I'm holding you onto that promise and I know I won't ever regret it" Kelly said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Seriously, do you want us to leave? We still do have an unpacked bag of clothes" Ashley teased once more. She laughed and left with Jill and Kate.

I know I'm so late, sorry! ____________________________ Chapter 1 Graham walked into the coffee shop, a certain someone catching his eye, "Hey Kelly, how are you?" Graham greeted, showing his charming smile. Kelly looked at him, "G-good. Well I gotta get going, bye" she waved goodbye and put on her sunglasses and left for the door. Graham watched her leave, sure it was awkward because they broke up years ago, but it wasn't this awkward. As he glanced back out the window he saw Kelly grab the hand of her guitarist Cory. He frowned. - "You okay?" Cory asked as he noticed the uneasiness Kelly showed. She nodded, reassuring him. "I'm fine, just saw someone who knew me" Kelly smiled. Cory nodded and opened the car door for her, "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked as he ducked his head in the car. Kelly nodded and smile, "Let's go? They're waiting for us" "Have you been having any headaches again?" Cory asked. She shook her head. "No, not recently. Thank God for that" Kelly chuckled. "How have you been feeling lately?" He asked taking her hand in his rubbing small circles with his thumb. "Good and okay, don't worry about me. I'm starting to be much more okay, thanks to you and my family and everyone else" she smiled. - "Ready to rehearse?" Jason asked as he saw his little sister come through the door with Cory. "Yeah, what songs are we doing for tonight?" Kelly asked. "Jason said we're going to do your recent singles from 'Miss Independent' to 'You Love Me'" Cory explained. "He's going to kill my vocals for tonight, I love him but I hate him at the moment" Kelly told as she sat on the couch with Jill and Kate. "Perks of having a succesful album and career huh?" She asked. "Hey it pays for the bills and the good friendship is free so it was a pretty sweet deal if ya ask me" Jill teased as the rest laughed. "Amen to that!" They all said as they raised their coffee cups in the air, they all needed the caffeine but it was their last stop of the tour then its vacation for them. Jill and Kate were living with Kelly for a little while, along with Ashley since they haven't moved to Nashville yet. But they are soon and that's not the only reason why they're living there. "Hey Kel, you okay?" Ashley asked. "Yeah and now there's going to be four girls in one house.. well Jason will be there once in awhile" Kelly smiled with excitement. "Well your prince charming will be there once in a while too" Ashley teased as she looked at Cory whose cheeks turned tomato red.

A Better Beginning

Chapter 25

“Jill Pickering! Get your butt down here!” Kelly yelled then she thought, “Wow, this is weird. Ha, she’s usually the one who yells at me for being a slowpoke. Well, the tables have turned or starting to, haha” she smiled.

Jill started to come down the stairs, “I’m coming! Niagara Falls ain’t gonna be moving anywhere!” she told.

“Did you hear it moved to New York already?” Kelly teased, gaining a laugh from everyone.

“Haha” Jill mocked, “Why are you in such a rush? Isn’t this like vacation for you?” she asked.

Kelly smiled, “Come on, let’s just go” she smiled with a bigger grin on her face.

“Child, now you’re just freakin me out..” Kelly kept smiling, “Seriously, stop smiling you’re weirding me out” Jill said.

Cory glared at Kelly, “Y’all ready?” he asked.

“What is up with everyone wanting to leave? Sheesh, I just want to see the falls that’s all. Hey that rhymed and I didn’t even try. I did it again! I’m on fire today!” Jill quipped with a smile.

“Okay nerd, let’s get going” Kelly smiled as she anchored her arm onto Jill’s and went their way.

At Niagara Falls

“Kel, can I steal Jill from you?” Cory asked with a smile.

Kelly nodded, “Don’t let her wander, Canada”

“Don’t worry I won’t, Tex” Cory assured.

Cory and Jill walked towards the other end of the railing with the beautiful view of the falls, “Why did you need to steal me?” she asked.

Cory began to get nervous even more, “Um.. wow—”

“You okay there Cor?” Jill asked as she shook him slightly. Cory nodded, “I’m okay.. Just trying to get through with what I have to say”

Jill waited, “I like you.. No that sounds stupid.. I love you and I’m in love with you. Does that make sense? Okay, my feelings for you began to develop when you were helping me out with Kelly and I knew that we weren’t going to work out because of our differences.. I love you, Jill. I really do, and I hope you like me the way I like you.. I’m sorry if this is all too fast or I’m coming on too strong for you or—”

Jill kissed Cory with passion, when they drifted apart an inch away difference from each other’s faces, “I like you, I love you and I’m starting to fall in love with you, Cory Churko” she smiled as Cory kissed her again.

“Good” he smiled and stole another kiss from her sweet lips. Cory wrapped his arms around Jill as they watched the falls and talked to each other about everything and how they ended up together and where they are now.

That night in an intimate gathering, Cory proposed a question to Jill..

“Jill, will you give me the honor of being your husband? Will you marry me?” Cory asked as he presented a little box with a beautiful diamond crusted engagement ring.

Without any second thoughts, Jill said “YES! Yes, I will marry you!” the ring fitted perfectly on Jill’s ring finger and they kissed and hugged as tears began to shed from Kelly, Mike and Cory’s parents as well.

The following day, they all drove back home to tell the exciting news and Kelly and Jill had their talk before Cory proposed marriage to Jill.

Last night..

“Did you know about this? About what was going to happen today?” Jill asked.

Kelly nodded, “I helped him plan the whole thing, that’s why I was smiling like a huge dork earlier”

“Are you okay with all of this? If not, I’ll end it right now. I’m sure Cory will understand, I can’t make you go through this, I know how it was for Cory and I don’t want you to hate me—” Jill said.

Kelly pulled her down on the bed and they sat next to each other, “I can never ever hate you Jill, always know that! And I’m genuinely happy for you and Cory. I really am. We’ve talked and moved on from everything that happened between me and him. Jill, don’t ever worry about our friendship because it will always be there, no matter what. And I can never lose you as my best friend, you are the most blunt, honest and truthful friend I’ve ever had— well next to Ashley, she’ll kill me if she heard me say that” Kelly smiled.

Jill hugged Kelly, “Me and him were trying to make you guys work and I was in on everything he wanted to do. I never thought all these years, we’d end up like this. How did that happen? Love truly works in mysterious ways. But I do promise this to you, I will make sure before I get married, you’ll find someone out there for you and I know there is because of all people you deserve happiness. I love you Kel and I thank you for our friendship and I’m happy that will never go away” she smiled.

“I love you too, big sis” she said sincerely.

The two great friends called up Kate and Ashley over Skype and told them everything that has been happening over the past few days they were in Canada and they were happy for all of them and they finally found out about Mike’s sexuality. They were pretty shocked which made Jill and Kelly laughed at their friend’s expressions. They talked about every single detail of the past few days, it seemed like an endless night.

Their drive home was pretty fast, Cory and Jill held hands the whole way through the drive while Kelly and Mike talked to Mike’s boyfriend, Andrew and also Kate and Ashley. They had asked them to make lunch since they’ll be home at Kelly’s house in a few minutes.

“We’re home!” Kelly yelled as she opened the door. Mike and Cory were in the car getting the luggages.

Kate and Ashley greeted Kelly and Jill with open arms and told them that lunch was ready.

“You’re blinding me! What is that Jill Pickering?!” Ashley quipped.

Kate was shocked. Ashley was shocked. Kelly and Jill couldn’t help but laugh, Cory finally came in with Mike.

“WHO PLACED A RING ON MY BEST FRIEND’S FINGER?!” Kate yelled, still flabbergasted.

“Guilty!” Cory raised his hand then wrapped his arm around Jill’s waist. Kate hugged the both of them and began to cry at the thought of her best friend getting married, very soon.

Ashley congratulated them, “Wow, y’all were not even girlfriend/boyfriend for like an hour and now you’re both engaged the next minute!”

“I never asked her to be my girlfriend, I asked her to be my wife the next hour” Cory smiled and gave Jill a peck on her cheeks.

The girls awed. Mike arrived with Andrew and a friend Andrew brought over for them to meet, he works in the music industry.

First and foremost, Andrew and Mike’s friend greeted Kelly, “Hi, pleasure to meet you” he smiled.

Kelly was in awe with the man in front of him, “Hi, I’m Kelly. Nice to meet you. What’s your name?” she asked with a smile.

“I’m Brandon. Brandon Blackstock” he smiled.
