any advice for anyone who's currently unemployed? :/

Keep searching. Thinking I could find a job quickly, I rage quit my first job because they wouldn’t give me a raise and it took like 3 months before I finally got hired somewhere else.

Keep your options open because being selective in where you wanna work could also hold you back, if you really need the money pick something that’ll get you hired and then continue the job search, at least then you have some form of income coming in.

Lastly, update your resume. Sometimes it’s good to just revisit what you have in there and consider changing some things or rewording it to enhance your image with whoever it is you apply with.

what's your opinion on drake exploiting island culture such as Dominican Republic, Jamaica etc

I don’t see it as exploiting it. Me being Jamaican, I don’t really care tbh. I haven’t heard one Jamaican give a single fuck about it. We appreciate it more than anything (at least the Jamaicans I know). There are a ton of West Indian people in Toronto and they’ve influenced that area a lot. I just kick back and enjoy the music. It’d be one thing if he tried to speak patois on every song but he’s just rapping/singing on caribbean beats. I’m cool about it. 

I can’t speak on the Dominican thing because I’m not Dominican but I still don’t see him doing anything wrong. He goes there on vacation and he rocked the flag as a bandana. Big deal. This nigga ain’t makin bachata music. He ain’t claiming DR. Lowkey, he does look like someones Dominican uncle.

People just want something to complain about. They want him to hold an L so badly but it’s not going to happen. The man can’t lose. People may not like him for whatever reason but he’s killing it and he ain’t even peak yet.
