Berserk traveling circus au except the band of the hawk is this infamous wandering circus troupe everyone’s obsessed with because every performance feels borderline supernatural.

Griffith is the beautiful ringmaster people swear can make entire crowds cry just by talking. Casca runs literally everything backstage because this circus would collapse in 12 minutes without her. Judeau’s an acrobat, pippin’s the strongman, rickert handles pyrotechnics, corkus scams rich people between shows then guts shows up. ex gladiator. built like a problem. gets hired as a swordsman act after nearly killing a guy during an underground fight ring. 🤡🎡

The whole thing is very:

velvet tents

dangerous stunts

muddy roads

exhausted performers

fake smiles

codependent found family

“the show must go on” even when people are actively falling apart backstage

and the worst part is griffith genuinely DID give all these broken people somewhere to belong.

Not sure how accurate this is as I’ve only read up to the part where Griffith is reborn at the Tower of Conviction and watched the entirety of the dubbed ‘97 Anime. Mostly this is just based on vibes, TV tropes articles, personal opinions, and Sarah Z’s Co-writer Lady Emily Bray.
