So. I’ve decided to try a write-in campaign for my short story “Monoculture” for the Locus Awards. Will I succeed? Probably not. But I’m going to try.
“Monoculture” is a corn-themed ecological horror story inspired by my experiences growing up in the Midwest. It’s been published in CreepyPod, and you can listen to it here: https://www.creepypod.com/episodes/2025/8/13/amandas-story-amp-monoculture (story starts at 23:30)
I’m a small, queer, and trans writer and artist. If I could just be an honorable mention in the Locus Awards then that would mean the world to me. Anyone can vote in the Locus Awards, just use this link: https://poll.voting.locusmag.com/
The voting closes in April. Spread the word, and tell me what you think of my story!
