If you like your spirits and you are planning a trip to the Charlotte, NC area, take the short drive to Mount Pleasant, NC to tour the Southern Grace Distilleries. It is the only distillery in the USA housed in a former prison. There signature product is Sun Dog 130, 130 proof corn whiskey. They also make Zero Dark 130 which is 100 proof. They also have Sun Dog Pink Lemonade and Apple Dumpling. Both are 45 proof. Their latest product is Conviction...a small batch bourbon that became available this November. You can get their products in NC, SC, Washington DC and on line but take the tour in person if you get the chance.
