#( ˵ ᵕ̴᷄ ˶̫ ᵕ̴᷅˵)♡ Her original name was Madison but after the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam she earned the new name Cornelia from Caesar.#Not long after her and Caesar would get married and yes it was 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 deliberate that he named her after the real Caesar's first wife:#𝗙𝗡𝗩 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲: In an illiterate benighted world who would ever know that Caesar was not his original creation?#(｡ᵕ °ㅁ° ) Cornelia acts as the Legion's Main Doctor since she's the 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 person highly educated on the subject.#Outside Caesar her biggest goal is resolving the breeding issues in the Legion and training specially picked slaves to be midwives.#𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮'𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: It was more important to me that she matched Caesar than other Legionaries.#Since Caesar wears a Tunic I wanted her to wear something similar to what married women in Ancient Rome wore.#So I decided on a black Under Tunic then on top of that a white Stola. A Stola is a long pleated sleeveless robe that represented #a woman’s marital status and was 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 worn by wives. Her Under Tunic and Stola are shortened and slightly damaged like Caesar's clothes.#For the final layer woman would wear a Palla but I felt like that would interfere with her work so instead she wears the Legion flag.#(๑* ૦ *๑) Also the clasps holding the flag represent Cornelia carrying the Legion on her shoulders!!!#With one clasp representing her combat in the battlefield and the other knowledge on medical science.#The golden clasps she wears are 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 to Caesar's brooch except without the Laurel Wreath (which is a symbol of triumph).#𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: Caesar's brooch matches the Four Corners Emblem. Where New Mexico + Arizona + Colorado and Utah all touch.#Those are Legion territories!! Cornelia also wears the Mark of Caesar is on her chest (⸝⸝⸝𖦹⸝⸝⸝𖦹⸝⸝⸝)♡ Since Caesar is in her heart.#Cornelia's shoes are inspired by a real 2000 year old pair of Roman Women's shoes discovered in a well back in 2018. Except #simplified similar to how the model for Caesar's shoes were simplified compared to the sandals in his concept art.#𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 in the Legion (excluding Caesar) has an X on them. Ulysses even makes sure to include it in the Legion Duster jacket.#I couldn't figure out where to include one in her design but Psyche was a 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗨𝗦 and suggested incorporating it in the arm bands!!!#It's important to remember while Caesar and Cornelia are married that 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦𝗡'𝗧 mean they're equals. Also just as Caesar's still uses old #world technology when it suits his needs like the Auto Doc. Cornelia is given permission to as well with stuff like her Pip Boy.#Also the quantity (multiple layers) and quality of her clothes are a 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 difference between her and other people in the Legion.#( //>///<//)♡ AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! I 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 THIS SO MUUUUUCH!!!!!! The commission turned out so 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓉𝓉𝓎 ₊˚⊹#Psyche did such a FANTASTIC job bringing Cornelia to life!!! I have no idea where the story went with them. I even feel odd about the concept and the story that I do remember. But they are a part of my childhood nostalgia, when I'd read the comics I borrowed from a friend of mine who lived across the street, and we'd chat about them.
