From Faust ( @corxner ) —
[ COPING ] + Reversed : In the aftermath of some terrible and life-changing news, the sender busies their self with preparing some tea to give themselves something to do other than think about what's just happened.
The brilliant thing about the outcome of the whole situation was that now Hannibal always knew where to find Will Graham. He was safe, safer than one could possibly imagine, for the walls of the BSHCI were much more welcoming than the walls of Will's mind narrowing on him.
Of course, Jack Crawford refused to take the defeat. And, of course, it was mostly a private issue. When you are working to catch predators in the guise of human beings, you don't have the luxury of grieving even the loss of a friend. Jack believed he had lost Will, but, as the saying goes, nature abhors a vacuum. And the vacuum was filled.
It has been some time already since they started working with Faust, a young person who was not unlike Will at first reluctant to accept his help and who, not unlike Will again, was a thing in itself, Ding an sich.
"This will help to calm your nerves, Faust," Hannibal raised his hand pouring the tea, so that it would become rich in oxygen, a small trick to unlock the full potential of the drink. "I believe that is the thing we all need after the unfortunate encounter with all those bodies from the river."
Hannibal put the cup of tea in front of Faust and took a seat opposite him. There was almost a full minute of silence filled with the fragrant aroma of the tea... Hannibal broke the silence with a gentle:
"Talk to me, Faust. I am here to listen."
