At long last Poe and Finn were reunited, as was the dyad consisting of Kylo and Rey.

But for another couple, the happy reunion was a parting.

Rose and Corra turned away, unwilling to join Emperor Palpatine's court. Nobody was stopping them, not yet anyway. If they had a chance to get away with their lifes, then that was now, when everyone was still confused and trying to determine their place in the new situation.

Rose now owned two mementos of people she'd never in her life touch again: Her fallen sister's pendant and Grand-Marshall Hux' ring. The first had died way too fast... and the latter will take way too long until he’ll be dead to Rose.

Kylo: "My feelings in this are utterly diametral to mastery of the dark side, but I'm glad that you're here with us, Rey."

Rey: "With you? Standing next to you, maybe, but not "with" you. Not when you do the emperor's bidding!"

Kylo: "You will find that you have no say in this matter."

Finn: "Poe? You didn't do something stu... something noticeably more stupid than usual?"

Poe: "I brought you all back to life!"

Kylo: "And now everyone who was resurrected in this fashion is bound to the emperor's will. I couldn't have asked for a better army!"

Phasma: "Did you hear that, Armitage? The elite of the Resistance - and they cannot resist the emperor's command! We're invincible now!"

Hux: “Right. Enjoy getting used as floor mops by the force users.”

Phasma: "Huh? You're LEAVING? In the moment of our triumph?"

Agnon: “Let him, Captain. That’s one less rival to account for in the soon to come reshuffling of positions in High Command.”

Armitage: "The first to make a "Love redeemed the genocidal narcissist" comment gets a headful of displeasure so strong that I don't need force powers to radiate it!"

Corra: “I take it you already have a plan, Sir?”

Armitage: “...yes. Of course I have a plan! I just can’t elaborate on it within earshot of the enemy.”

Rose: “For starters we can confuse them by following MY plan!”

Armitage: “Great, let’s do that! It’ll give me time to put the finishing touches on mine!”

Rose: *chuckles*

I honestly think it's really cute that they incorporated the trailer sim into the story line of the pack. Plus Corra is adorable.

Corra: "Hi, what are you doing in the house? Let's scrub the straw off you before you enter, shall we?"

Corra: "Where are you two going?"

Rose: "Err..."

Corra: "Ah, sorry. Silly question. Have a nice afternoon!"

Rose: "Not fair! You have longer legs than I!"

“You have reverse-engi...” Armitage started, then stopped immediately. Would hearing what she was better at than him really be what Rose wanted? Just because that would have been what he’d wanted to hear, the same didn’t have to go for his Rose. Maybe focus on why he was running ahead, so that him getting ahead would sting less? But he could hardly tell a seasoned combat engineer that he’d bring her wild bee honey, when Rose was perfectly capable of fetching some herself. That would have constituted an insult.

Instead of breaking his brain trying to come up with a reply, Armitage slowed down. Rose crossed the distance and slung her arms around him from behind, only to find herself get lifted up.

Armitage: “These are your legs now as good as mine. Uh... imagine that was romantic.”

Rose: “Considering our first meeting started with “Toss them to their knees”, I’ll take it.”

Armitage: *holding breath*

Rose: “Is it coming back now? Maybe we shouldn’t dwell on that. Just remember that we will always win.”

So now he’d gotten his own words used against him by Rose for the second time. But for some reason that didn’t feel like a defeat. Not even having to tolerate the Republic Remnant as a permanent fixture in the galaxy did. They had a ceasefire already and expecting the alliance against Palpatine to end in anything other than, however grudging, co-existence was foolish.

Putting his newfound introspection to use, the General realized that he didn’t mind the political situation because it was giving him what he wanted: A chance to be with Rose. Looking further back, so had everything else he’d ever done. Acquiring skills, advancing through the ranks, supplying the First Order with gadgets and expanding its influence, the intrigue against Kylo Ren... all to be safe, all for his own benefit. The realisation that one was incredibly self-centered might have disturbed someone else. Not so Armitage. For him it led to a liberating realisation: I owe the First Order NOTHING. He’d already viewed the organisation as “his” in the sense of ownership, not him being a servant of the structure. Now even that attachemend was fading.

This scene references a deleted scene from The last Jedi, where Hux uses the “always win” line against the captured Rose.

The trio mixed the antidote...

...and all was well that ended well, right?

Corra at the very least felt great again!

Phasma: "What's the matter?"

Hux: "The bonedust we used... It came from a burial pyre in a temple, that we cannot rule out to have been connected to worship of the Force. What is usually conducted by force sensitives. If the remains still had some intact midichlorians in them..."

Phasma: “Aren’t those in the bloodstream?”

Hux: “Not just in the blood. Midichlorians can be found in every cell of the body.”

Phasma: "You mean to say that Corra just drank a Jedi-infusion?!"

Hux: "It's too early to "say" anything. But I think we should stay a while longer, wait what happens and then... take appropriate actions."

Corra is shown with a lightsaber in the promotional art for the Star Wars dlc:

In the trailers she was the standin for the player, before she got relegated to playing a minor role in the Resistance questline. So unlike Phasma and Hux, Corra could be force sensitive, and only needs a tiny nudge to manifest her talent.

In the center of the settlement they found a temple. By then heavy rain had set in, turning the morning into night again.

Corra: "Is that a Jedi temple?"

Hux: "People worship lots of different phenomena, not just the Force. But when in doubt, the Force under whatever name is a safe bet most of the time."

Phasma: "He means if you want, this can totally be a Jedi temple, Corra."

Two expedition members collapsed next to - unfortunately decorative only - skeletons, while the third looked around for graves or urns.

Hux: "Corra won't make it, right?"

Phasma: "How can you tell?"

Hux: "You were nice to her."

However, luck was with the expedition! The first heap of rubble turned out to be the remains of a burial pyre from which Corra was able to extract some teeth and skull fragments.

Now all they had to do was make their way back to the outskirts and brew the antidote!

*sizzle* *sizzle* *brizzle* *brizzle*

Agnon: "If that's another one of your assassination attempts on whoever, Sir, this is SO inappropriate!"

Hux: "Nope, wasn't me!”

Rose: “He’s telling the truth. We talked together the whole time.”

Hux: “For the most part she talked back to me, but it’s true. The prisoner is innocent this time.”

Agnon: “OF COURSE you’d cover each other. You’re equally bad!!!”

(”Spoiler”: Corra caused the kitchen fire.)

Just when Hux had grabbed Agnon by the collar and dragged him towards the fire to express his displeasure at the Lieutenant’s insubordination in no uncertain terms, Kylo entered the building.

Kylo: "This isn't how one makes grilled cheese, you idiots! As for you, Hux, that’s not how you roast a subordinate. I’m telling you now, if you kill the lieutenant, I will force you to eat him afterwards!”

Phasma: "What's Lord Ren doing outside?"

Agnon: "Oh, he's probably communing with the dark side. We shouldn't pester him."

Meanwhile Kylo: *tried to light the campfire*

Kylo: "Well, the helmet has survived the fire."

Hux: "You. Look. Beyond. Silly."

Kylo: "So, do I? Well, here's the good news: The rags are still salvageable, so one of you sorry bunch has the sudden urge to take up sewing!!!"

Hux: Sometimes I'm embarassed to admit I know him.

Corra: Not wanting to brag, but volunteering for the kitchen shift was my best idea ever. Serve the First Order faithfully, but don't get involved with High Command in any way, shape or form!

Kylo: "Tomorrow morning I will decide which of you will have been the least useful so far. That one has to sew my robe."

Rose: “You here? Are you in trouble?”

Armitage: “So Mr. Savi seems to imply. He is salty that I beat him to building a functioning lightsaber.”

Savi: “I’m not “salty”. I’m worried.”

Armitage: “Then let’s make you and put Crait to shame in this regard! Corra, shall we spar?”

Corra: “The lightsaber I found in the ruins against one you made at home? Sure, what could go wrong...”

Savi: “I’d have to lie if I claimed I wasn’t curious. Alright, General, my yard is yours for the next ten minutes. Bring it on!”

There had been lots of doubt those recent days, but one thing Armitage Hux still knew for certain: That he wasn’t a melee fighter. Especially not wielding a two-handed weapon with a blade that long that it provided him with no opportunity for fighting dirty.

Sparks were flying and another explosion was probably imminent, not to mention the bright light... No safety goggles this time...

How come the Jedi of old hadn’t added sunglasses to their standard attire? Hux made a mental note to hit the offworld-goods shop again to order a pair. Provided his handmade lightsaber didn’t send him to the infirmary first.

Armitage: “Not a...?” (louder) “Not a scratch!”

Rose: “It’s stable!”

Armitage: “But I can think of half a dozen appliccations I’d rather put this saber to than combat!”

Corra: “That’s the spirit!”
