the unseelie going "we wish to unshackle from nature thrust upon us by [the gods] creation"? combined with zathuda's constant assertion he cant fight his nature as a predator? and morri implying there was an old feywild before the gods came? fae are absolutely aware they could have been something else and yet are what they Are, and dont feel they can fight it.
now, is that really true they cant change? as i said in the meta linked above, some have shucked perceptions and been selfless & loving. but with the growing implication gods were shackled to what they are (once again - are they truly? a question for another time) the moment tengar was destroyed, it now brings questions to mind. because if corellon & sehanine raced to claim the feywild, and they molded it directly in their images - with the special energy of this world, and the two gods' direct influences, it would have deeply swayed the realm's creation. are fae really frozen in their traits because of the gods of whimsy, trists, art, imagination, wonder, magic, mercurial fury, selfishness, the brutality of artistic creation, intensity?
certainly, some fae believe it's the case. and it is deeply interesting to me how the unseelie seem to want to unshackle from the worst traits of correlon while leaning into said traits and refusing to try to fight them.
