There are certain movies/tv I will never watch because people talk about them in such irreverent tones that it turns me off of them so hard (Interstellar, Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Succession, Law and Order, Yellowstone, etc)
like you never hear “this is peak cinema” about Corrina, Corrina, Stay Tuned, Gay Purr-ee or Re-Animator (because they’re cheesy)
and you never hear about MASH, Voyager, Dead Like Me, or Sherlock Hound touted as Peak Tv (tm)
but they’re all amazing
but nobody ever shuts the hell up about so-and-so’s supposed masterpiece about angry men with guns or whatever
there’s no point to this I just want to emphasize my enjoyment of neicher movies found in the back alley of Tubi or in my VHS collection and recommend to people to go off the between path of classics and indulge in the strange lost world of mid-budget movies and broadcast tv that you simply can’t stand because of a laugh track or lack of continuity

AYO EDEBIRI SYDNEY ADAMU WITH JESSIE NELSON DIRECTOR OF CORRINA CORRINA. THE BEAR PROOF
Corrina Corrina is a great movie
It was directed so well and thoughtfully. Almost the same eye for emotional detail as Ayo Edebiri did in Napkins
So I'm really glad they finally met and took a picture
Jessie always seemed to me to be bright, smart, focused and she has THAT THING
Maybe it's a natural talent but it makes you want her to do more so you can see more of her work.
Most of her directing and writing is family and relationship focused in a well thought out way. But her career didn't go as far as it could have
Jessie has some connections to the Bear but especially that she directed Whoopi Goldberg who is featured in posters on Sydney Adamu's bedroom wall (jumping jack flash)
i watched a really good movie last night and thays all that matters. a really good movie overpowers the amount of hours of sleep you've lost to watch it. many movie scientists have said this
This 'Corrina, Corrina' inspired handbag
