Ah. Ouch. Right in the feels. Just as good as I remember though watching Corrina Corrina as an adult hits differently. As a kid, I just loved it as is. As an adult, I'm able to notice that this is somewhat told from a child's perspective. The innocents, the gently explaining of grief, the innocence of not knowing white vs black, the innocence of just being a kid. As a kid, you don't understand the problem with the n-word or the "racist" white names in return. You just say it because you think it's a neat word. As an adult, you understand. You just understand. Watching this as an adult. Your able to understand that Molly sees her dad as a workaholic, a man who rarely focuses on his daughter but when he focuses on her, it's work related. When Corrina comes into Molly's life, you see this child feel like someone is genuinely listening to her and she finds love in Corrina. It's a cute little story that even decades later, it's still really good. Plus as an adult, your just going to spend most of the movie crying. 😭😭 #corrinacorrina https://www.instagram.com/p/CeDxb3NvBA3/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
