"His opinion doesn't matter since they are no longer married." Lin's expression was stoic except for a small smirk tugging at the edge of her lips. Tenzin definitely wasn't happy about it, but he wouldn't speak to the press... and Lin would only give facts.

Asami walked in silence with Lin back to the station. Before they reached the doors though, she pulled the older woman. "Just watch out for Mako, okay? I have my own plans for him and I don't want him involved in any of this." Asami hated to show any sign of vulnerability but she trusted Lin in this regard. After all Lin had Pema and would understand.
Lin turned to where Asami wouldn't have to speak very loudly, tilting her head down slightly. There was a weird level of trust that the two women shared, a mutual understanding of their positions and priorities.
"Don't worry about it, kid. I'll keep him far away from this." She pulled Asami into a small side hug before releasing her. "I'll let you know if the hothead decides to dig on his own."
