So, don't ask me where this came from. I was feeling like some angst and a Jordan/Seamus companionship came up in my Creeptures epic plan so I decided to give it some back story in the form of this one shot. It's much longer than I anticipated (most of the time, I didn't think I'd even break 1k but ended up doubling that by 1 and 1/2 times. Oops)
Also, you should be expecting these random little one shots from my Creeptures universe. They're easier to pump out than it would be to the actual main story what with school and all, so you'll have to settle for this for a while. Sorry.
I like this much better than my first one, anyway. I think I'm much mroe comfortable with Jordan and Seamus than I am with James and Sly. I dunno. Just a preference.
Under the cut, ladies and gentleman.
They weren't a team anymore. They hadn't been a real team since they all lost their minds.
So, for the sake of the lives of the people Jordan once called his best friends, he had to step away. The other members of their fragmented group had their own personal problems among the nine of them. Aleks and Sly were still dealing with the fallout of their relationship, Dan focused only on finding Sp00n who had disappeared the morning after The Incident, Seamus holding an eternity long grudge against everyone until he knew which one of them had caused his death.
Jordan knew exactly who, but he was going to keep his mouth shut about that.
They were all a mess combining together to make an even bigger disaster. So, for the best, they broke it all off with Ze and Chilled being the only ones who decided to keep a friend/partnership going on. Jordan retreated to his log cabin in the middle of nowhere, more than content with his slowly fading sanity in absolute solitary. He forced hismelf to scrub the blood Aleks had spilled off of the wood floors and he desperately tried to ignore the glaring fact that if he has never consented to allowing Aleks into The Creatures, Monica might still be alive.
Jordan has never wanted a head nailed into his wall so badly.

It's a month into the separation before there's some kind of momvement that is out of place in Jordan's broken up life that isn't the flies buzzing around his previous victim's heads that lay outside. It's a meow; a sound that instantly brings a sensation of joy to his face. His own cats had been lost to Sly's hand when this had all started. Just another problem that was going on behind the scenes within that group.
He puts down the arrow he'd been sharpening onto his desk and turns away from the window. He'd taken to contemplating about the universe for an obscene amount of time over the past month. He was unsure of what to do with himself; every part of himself stripped away with the disbanding of The Creatures and the death of his wife. It's as if he had been waiting for some kind of change like this. He follows the sound of meows and tiny paws around his log cabin, hoping that it's some kind of cat that would be willing to stick around; to have something need him and give him a purpose outside of shooting the woodland animals that were unfortunate enough to come around. If this cat was willing to stay, at least Sly wasn't around to murder it in cold blood.
He follows the sound towards the kitchen, the tiny animal he'd been hoping for scratching at the cupboard under the sink. Jordan's heart melts in an instant. Finally, something that makes sense; something for the old days. He moves closer to the animal and drops to one knee as the cat turns to face him, eyes welcoming. He greets the cat by scratching behind its ear which causes it to cuddle closer to his hand and crouched form. This situation seems familiar to Jordan for a reason he can't place.
Under further examination of the cat, it hits him. He knows this cat. It's Mr. Meowgi. Seamus'.
Back when sanity was a given, Jordan hadn't had a close relationship with Seamus. They talked, yeah. Being co-workers forced that to happen and he just assumes that there was some kind of friendship going on. They played a few games together every once in a while, but never alone with each other. There was always someone like James or Sp00n that joined them. Back when Seamus had lived in the first Creature house with James and Dan, Jordan would see Meowgi walking around when Seamus would let her out of his room. Jordan has no idea how Meowgi got all the way out here, but he really can't complain. A friend is something that he has been craving more than he realizes.
Also, he feels like he owes it to Seamus to take care of her. It wasn't Seamus' choice to leave her alone and, despite their friendship being in shambles after the separation and having lost contact ages ago, Seamus was still a part of Jordan's life back in the day. For everything he did for Jordan, no matter how insignificant or influential, Jordan feels the need to set their record straight.

Two more months pass. Meowgi takes quite a liking to Jordan who is more than happy to build a relationship with her. However, every glance he makes to her doesn't help the crippling loneliness that only one of the other guys could fill.
He hasn't heard anything from anyone, not that he was hoping. But he figure, maybe, a phone call from Dan or something letting him know about the status of Sp00n or a letter from James talking about his latest kill.
That's ridiculous, even in his head. He shouldn't even be thinking about the other guys. They all agreed to live separate lives to avoid any trouble for The Incident. It was for the best.
But Jordan can't help but wonder if they're even still alive. He wonders if Aleks is running from some FBI investigation team or if Dan is working with some underground drug mafia operation or if James has been keeping his cannibalistic tendencies as quiet as possible. He's curious as to how busy Seamus has been as a reaper or how much further into the hole Sly has gone. He wants to know where Sp00n has been after all this time as well as if Chilled and Ze are still together in whatever part of the world they decided to escape to.
He wonders where Monica is. If there is an afterlife, he needs to know where she ended up. IF Seamus was around, Jordan could probably ask him, but Satan only knows when the hell Seamus would. show up.
Jordan has considered killing someone to try and get Seamus to show up. He's unsure as to how the whole reaper concept works, but he does know that they have to come collect the souls of the departed. However, Jordan has been doing everything possible to avoid killing again. He already can't stand the heads that are nailed into wooden poles outside although he feels no obligation to take them down. He shouldn't be letting himself consider killing someone just to satisfy his need to see and talk to one of the other guys. Seamus is the easiest to reach, but that doesn't mean it will help.
Meowgi hops into his lap, suddenly, breaking him from his thoughts. He straightens up from his leaning position in his desk chair, stroking her head thoughtfully. If he were to kill anything, Meowgi would be the most expendable to the cause. It's not like she has a family to support or a mate that would miss her if she didn't come home one night. She has the least to lose, unlike anyone in the town about a half hour away. The only person that would miss her is him. It's a tempting thought. But he's not sure it would go over well with Seamus if he finds out that Jordan killed his cat on purpose just so he could get Seamus in front of him.
Jordan teases the thought a little longer as he hears Meowgi purr with pleasure. Meowgi has made life a little more bearable in their two months together. As close as Seamus could be to him, Meowgi's life is not worth it.
Jordan's too selfish for that.

He couldn't say why he was here.
Jordan stood on the roof of a town shop, loading up an arrow into his bow. A woman, innocent as can be, was approaching on the sidewalk below him. He had been stalking her for the past few days, getting a feel for her schedule and the look of her face. She was a pretty girl with a slim waist and shoulder length blond hair. Not exactly his type, but he wasn't looking for love. Love was the last thing on his mind.
The icy cold hand of loneliness and desperation had closed around his heart a few weeks ago, nearly 6 months after the great separation and The Incident, begging to be melted by the spill of some blood. He needed to see Seamus. He needed to know at least one of his friends was doing okay. He needed to satisfy his curiosity. There was no other way to do that without the sacrifice of one life. It was only one life. A pretty girl like this one with little to no attaches to anyone. No boyfriend that would be waiting for her call, no husband expecting her in bed on time tonight, no family that would worry. She was all alone in the best of ways.
Some twisted part of Jordan absolutely hated her for being so in control. Jordan had been fighting for some kind of control over his head for months and her this girl was with so little, but so much more than him. He was supposed to be the one with the most control. He was the supposed to be the one with everything figured out and the life all in place.
This girl needed to die for being above him.
He watched in absolute silence as the girl passed underneath his line of sight. He waited for the girl to appear on the other side of the building at exactly 7:47pm like clockwork. Jordan glanced at his watch quickly to see the smallest hand approaching the top.
There she was on the other side of the building. Jordan lined up his shot, preparing to see what he craved the most. He was going to see Seamus soon, as long as he didn't miss.
Unfortunately for that innocent girl, Jordan never misses.
She dropped to the pavement in an instant, arrowing protruding from the back of her head. No one rushes towards her, the biggest benefit to killing in a small town. If there's anything Sly has taught him, that has certainly been the most useful.
He crouches in case someone comes looking to the top of the rooftop, eyes trained to the bleeding out body on the street. He wished that he could get closer to see the blood pool out onto the sidewalk, but he can't risk that. Besides, he's looking for the pleasure of seeing Seamus, not for the sight of his own kill. Any second now. Any second, he should see his first glimpse of Seamus in nearly six months.
Slowly, a hooded figure fades into visibility. A scythe is seen first, then the long, flowing cloak followed by that the skeletal white hand. At first, Jordan is under the impression that this could be any reaper, but as the full figure is visible and a single curly blond lock is seen from under the hood, Jordan is sure.
Seamus O'Doherty, the only reaper that Jordan will ever be happy to see.
Seamus extracts the soul of the dead girl without a word or any physical movements of disgust or pity. A pale yellow pendant hangs around his neck which seems to glow as Seamus punctures the girl's chest to remove her soul. Then, in a twist that Jordan doesn't expect, Seamus' scythe moves to the girl's mouth, effortlessly plucking out each tooth. The teeth meld to his scythe be an unnamed force until every last tooth is gone.
Seamus is gone just as someone comes running up to the body, disappearing quicker than he arrived.
Jordan's mouth twists into a sadistic smile.

He kills for him. Jordan kills innocent residents of that tiny little town for Seamus. He can't say he's sorry. He can't say he doesn't love it. Seeing Seamus is like a test that never ends and always leaves Jordan wondering. How much closer to death can he get? How much longer can he get Seamus to stay.
He knows he's losing his grip on reality. This is how it all started with Sly what feels like a lifetime ago. One kill and one unreachable goal is all that it took. Jordan can understand it, really. He didn't before, but that's mostly because his first couple of kills were accidents. Well timed accidents, but accidents none the less.
One night though, it all comes tumbling down in the best of ways.
Jordan wakes up in the middle of the night to an ice cold, boney hand wrapping around his neck and whisperings in his ear. He shoots up out of bed, alerting Meowgi who sleeps at his feet. Jordan looks around the room quickly to see if someone else was in his room.
“Over here, you asshole.”
That voice. It's been six and a half months, but that voice is as familiar to him as if he had jsut heard it yesterday.
Jordan looks to the far left corner of the room to see the one sight he had been dying to see after all this time.
Seamus, in all his reaper glory, in his room.
For the first time in a while, Jordan's lips form a real smile. “Seamus.”, he sighs.
“You know, you coulda just sent a postcard. You didn't have to go killing some pretty girls just to see me.” Seamus teases. It's a dark joke, but it's all that they are now.
“Don't think US Mail goes to hell.”
Seamus drops his hood and leans his scythe against the wall. He smirks as he says, “Not all reapers are from hell, you know. I'm more in the in between section.”
Jordan doesn't even care that Seamus is correcting him. Jordan could hug him right now after half a year of loneliness.
Seamus looks around the room, eyes settling on Meowgi. “Thanks for taking care of her. Turns out I was right to point her your way.” His bony hands strokes Meowgi's head who turns away slightly at the drastic coldness. Seamus drops his hand to save Meowgi the embarrassment of having to reject him.
“I felt like I owed you.”
A small, grim smile plays on Seamus face. He brushes his blond hair out of his eyes as he says, “You owe me nothing, Jordan.” He removes the pendant that Jordan forgot was hanging around his neck. Seamus offers it to him like a peace offering. “You told me a while ago that you had nothing to do with my death. I spent a long time just eternally angry at you and hoping that it was your soul I would have to take next. But I know it wasn't you. So, I owe you this.”
Jordan takes the pendant in his hand which is warm, a stark contrast to Seamus' sub zero body temperature. One glance at the pendant has Jordan in tears.
[[so in about 2 weeks or so i will be going holiday for 3 days in Paris, we gon be going didney lan too. yeeeey.
anyways so this is a school trip and such and we're going to have i think a good time, i'll be bringing a camera and i'll show some pictures and shit to what i've done and captured and hopes i don't run out of pictures yes okay.
So I have a bit of a favor to ask:
Could someone point me in the direction (or reblog with a list themself) of all the Corrupted Creatures? I’m dreaming up a fanfiction and really would like to include every character in the AU
I am currently aware of the following:
Drug Dealer! Dan
Stalker! Kevin
Pyro! Ze
(Head) Hunter! Jordan
Reaper! Seamus
Cannibal! James
Insane! Sly
Chainsaw Murderer! Sp00n
Serial Killer! Aleks
Is there any one else that I’m missing? Because I should start dreaming up a plan some time tomorrow so knowing as soon as possible would be great. Also, if there’s any “canon” (such as headcanons, backstories that kind of thing) that’s going on right now, that would be great to let me know.
