As it was said, Frey is a 'damaged' Faun, sacrificed his soul in exchange of a power to protect his precious home.

There is still a few horrible, almost forgotten, legends crawling upon the Inkwell about a treelike monster, lurking in the depths of the Howling Forest. But, who will believe?

Fun fact: even if Frey is very angry, he will stay in his "normal" look. You have to like REALLY piss him off to see his true self. He hasn't showed that literally for ages...
