Initially, she looked very different, having been looking like a regular dog with extra steps, taking inspiration from a german shepherd.

This was the design that best fit her, obviously inspired by the creature Cerberus.

The different gem placements were suggested by @dimonds456, to indicate whose controlling which set of hands (ruby controls the front paws, sapphire controls the middle set)

She essentially acts as a sentry dog, usually very calm and quiet. Her character in this AU is one of the most fascinating and we're excited to be able to explore her character as the story progresses!

Friend or Foe

Running, running, running. Run faster, you have to run faster, his legs screamed. His shoes crunching on the gravel and rubble as he hastily tried climbing over broken buildings blown from the sky. His breathing labored as he took a chance and looked back. She was charging at him, making his stomach sink. He thought.. he thought.. the two were finally getting somewhere but... No, as he thought back, he realized he just found her in a state of calm, and the knife in his pocket scared her. He snapped back to reality as he jumped forward, tumbling down. His form bolting onwards as crashing thumps for footsteps neared. She's gaining on him and he can't run as fast as he used to, stress and anxiety bogging down his powers like a disease. He just wanted to heal her, fix her, fix Garnet... His hand gripped his arm, dripping with crimson. That was his price to pay, he would lie to Pearl about this later, just saying he tumbled down... Steven shook his head as he swerved off to the left, watching her large form barrel past as he snuck into an alleyway. He kept moving, he had to keep moving, even though his lungs burned from the putrid air, and his legs shook from running. Once he was sure that she had gone, he snuck back out onto the main road, to the crumbling stores. Scanning the shelves for food that wasn't damaged or rotten, stowing cans in his rucksack, tugging the straps so the metal wouldn't jingle and alert the nearby human tribes. He had seen what they do to people with food and water... who did not 'share'... He shivered, still remembering Peedee's body. He had to keep moving though, for his own sake and the gems, swerving about rubble once more, before running a hand through his hair as he kept running, snatching his canteen and chugging it dry. The temple was in sight, right there in his grasp. His vision blurs as he stumbled on the doorsteps, before twisting open the bunker door and collapsing down. Hearing the muffled voices of the gems fade out...
