These two have completely different vibes if you couldn't tell. Ruby is based off a bull and Sapphire... well she's just your sleep paralysis demon (the eye just suited her for some reason).

Ruby's furnace face thing can change depending on her mood, so it's a good tell tale sign whether to approach her or not.

Ruby is the more aggressive in terms of territorial behavior, usually around Sapphire of course. Sapphire herself is very defensive, using her ice powers to protect herself.

One angry bull and one demon, put them together and you get... a dog somehow... This will be interesting to see.

                                  💜 Corrupted Sugilite 💜

After a short hiatus, the drawings of possible corrupted gems are BACK!

And today, I present to you SUGILITE, the fusion of corrupted Amethyst and Garnet: a gigantic reptile monster !! With two pairs of arms, with sharp claws, and a super strong tail.

This monstrosity can spit out an unusual purple fire Which is almost impossible to destroy. The tail can crush things or throw them miles away in the blink of an eye !! She is Based on the dragon that for a few seconds appears in the formation of Sugilite, in the episode Coach Steven Depending on her fury, Sugilite can increase in size and become VERY destructive! If before her personality was violent and unstable, now it is 100 times bigger.

Corrupted Ruby and Sapphire

OKAY, now drawings I did on paper, i don’t really like them (except for the Angelite era 1 😂) I don’t like te way I draw on paper 😑 so I might redo those on my new laptop.

I drew what I think a corrupted sapphire would look like. Basically a large ice iguana. I think they would make their feet get stuck in ice since their ice powers react with their emotions and the only emotions corrupted gems seem to have is anger and fear.

Is there a story behind your corrupted Sapphire AU?

since it still bounces around my head, im considering writing it into a fic, but we'll see how far that goes. :P

I'll do my best to explain it in one post, but I might elaborate or rephrase later. for now, have this doodle to make up for anything I accidentally leave out

the basic premise of the story is as follows: the weight of the gem war and every event since has been pulling on Sapphire in more ways than one. Eventually, the guilt and the grief and the pressure builds up far more than she can handle, and BAM! In her place lies this freakish (but small) corrupted beast. Also, it takes place in a timeline where Steven didn't leave, just so his corruption can be included as one of the final cracks of corruption in Sapphire's mind.

As you can imagine, the Crystal Gems are incredibly shocked. Sapphire must have known she'd be corrupted, since she had asked Ruby for some space the previous evening. Steven was the one to first discover Corrupted Sapphire, her scrabbling under a table woke him up. It was probably really startling for him, to suddenly see one of his lifelong caregivers turned into the very thing they were so used to containing and storing away ages ago. Although Sapphire, compared to most corrupted gems, was pretty small. I'd estimate her to be really long, but not much taller than cat steven in height. built like a small crocodile or something.

Now, there's a question I've been asked before, one that points out a plot hole. "Why couldn't Steven just ... heal her? With the diamond's healing powers?" Well, the answer to that is incredibly complex and well thought out, and it's 'because I didn't actually think about that.'

If you want to hear my hastily made-up excuse, it's because Sapphire's mind is in such a twist of guilt and anger and shame that she can't bounce back so easily. She wasn't corrupted by a diamond blast, she was corrupted by herself and her own feelings. Steven's own self-corruption was definitely a huge tipping-point, and very possibly Sapphire's final straw.

You can imagine how distressed this whole situation has made everyone feel. Ruby and Pearl individually closed themselves off from everyone else, Amethyst tried to cheer them up or distract them, all while everyone tried to figure out a cure.

Ruby choosing to isolate herself was nearly impossible, though. Turns out Corrupted Sapphire is more like her real self than others thought. She loves being around Ruby, and tries to tackle her (or at the very least trail her!) every chance she gets. Who knows, maybe Ruby will be the final piece that heals her mind...
