Guess who went to the ER last night?
So. I guess I have been pushing my limits a little too much. Yesterday, I couldn’t hold my cortef down. Called the endocrinologist who told me to take myself to the ER. They gave me the cortef injection and oh my gosh. I feel better than I have in MONTHS. Literally. Monthsssss.
Today is my first good day in months. I love it. :)

Night terrors
So apparently I had night terrors from this pill, called the doc he said I don't have to keep taking it. Thank goodness so back to the salt and water loading which I'm much MUCH more comfortable with and I was sleeping better. I still feel something caught in the same place from this morn but it's less uncomfortable either I'm more used to it or it's starting to dissolve, anyways we have all agreed no more pills for me. Yay!
Pills
Can I just say I HATE HATE HATE PILLS! Took a dose of the Cortef last night woke five times and had nightmares which never happen anymore, took morning dose and mom wasn't here to crush it so that was at 10am it's 1:30 pill is still Caught in my throat... I'm just so fed up! This is a awful feeling, otherwise productive morning scheduled all sorts of appointments and the ball is a rolling. Being discharged for. Home health today, they have run out of ways to try to help :( everyone I work with feels so helpless, how do they think I feel.
Cortef?
Alright all y'all POTSies who has taken Cortef before? HydroCort is the generic name, GP just gave me the Script to try for fluid and Sodium Retention....anyone have any experience with this?
20 MG three times a day! eeek>\ you all know how i am about drugs, and ive been doing okay with my salt and fluid loading
Cortisone, a glucocorticoid, and adrenaline are the main hormones released by the body as a reaction to stress. They elevate blood pressure and prepare the body for a fight or flight response.
