The Snow Owl and The Raven

Late last night as I was falling asleep I watched a video of a raven annoying a snowy owl. It was charming. When I saw another video of a raven and owl today I assumed it was the same channel.

But it's not! These seem to be 2 animals who find themselves in conversation/conflict. They are a danger to each other's young, intelligent, compete for prey…

In fact, they are a legendary pair. There are Inuit legends.

I might base a pair of characters on these two. Symmetries and contrasts.

Corvid/crowcore flag!

Dark purple- Meant to represent crows, but also the common color aesthetic of the community, as well as being different from goth, why it’s not black :^)

Dark green- Can’t forget our goblin friends! @ you little goblins

Gold- shinies! While very few people keep gold as shinies, it’s the most associated color, too!

Dirty white- Vulture culture! Meant to represent bones and taxidermy.

Slight melting- The way goblincore and vulture culture sort of “combined” and crowcore was made!

I cannot believe I have to fucking explain this...

Do NOT give your birds cigarettes (even if they are unlit) or alchohol. This should be a no-brainer but apparently some people are too fucking dumb to realize this. Do not smoke around your bird. Or any other pets for that matter. Do not leave toddlers or babies alone (unsupervised) with birds. They could injure each other and toddlers will most likely not know to not squeeze a bird (birds lack a diaphragm which means if you put too much pressure on their chest they will suffocate and die.) Your bird could also bite a toddler or baby which could (depending on the size of the bird and how hard they bite) really hurt them. Do not leave cats or dogs alone with your birds. Even if they get along and play, cat and dog saliva could kill a bird. Do not leave a bird out of the cage when you are not at home. They could get into mischief and hurt themselves. Do not give your birds drugs and this includes caffeine. Feel free to add more.
