Young writer Lelouch Lamperouge was sure he'd escaped the clutches of his dysfunctional extended family. Unfortunately, things aren't as simple as they seem. Suzalulu, real-world AU.

I’m writing a longfic! (First ever longfic I have no idea what I’m doing.) First two chapters are up now.

It’s Suzalulu. It’s the veternarian Suzaku/writer Lelouch modern AU I’ve talked about and posted fic for (which I took down because it was too out of order) before. It starts way back when they’re in college though, so... college AU for a while.

There’s general trigger warnings for the whole fic in the tags and will be on the individual chapters as we get into more of the triggering stuff.

This fic could not exist without Jay @jaystrifes, my beta reader, and Sam @corvusam who made a special surprise secret contribution that you will know when you see!! Yes. Okay.

suzalulu: in a postcanon alive Lelouch thing where they live together in secret and take turns appearing in public as Zero, Suzaku getting ready for the morning, dressing in their bedroom while Lelouch lies undressed in bed and they’re bantering and it’s just this peaceful quiet intimate scene. Suzaku says something sarcastic probably a remark about Lelouch’s lack of physical prowess and Lelouch “sarcastically” says “Love you too, hon” (God, Lelouch and Suzaku calling each other honey though, I’m so) but then Suzaku seriously says “Love you” as he’s walking out the door and Lelouch says “Love you too” again and then his head drops down onto his pillow and he quietly wonders how he ever got so lucky before rolling over and setting his alarm for 9:00 and pulling the covers up over his head.

c. c.: I’m very into the idea of her and Suzaku gradually bonding over the fact that they’re both people who’ve seen these rare and very intimate glimpses of who Lelouch is, not to mention that they’ve both wanted to die (for different reasons but). The only thing is I feel like their personalities are kind of a perfect storm for enabling the negativity in each other, so there has to be some intermediary presence there to defuse that situation. Nunnally maybe?
