So, I recieved the sword holster yesterday. Quite disappointed unfortunately, luckily it didn't cost much. I'm still keeping it to attempt to improve it for use, but the seller totally misrepresented it. There isn't a huge selection of double-sword back holsters either, this is the best I could find on Amazon.

Maybe they'll have better ones at the renaissance fair, I would totally just buy one right then and there, lol

i was thinking about cosplaying as Larry with my friend being Sal at KawaiiKon 2019 but i was also thinking about all the ways it could go wrong

you see, my friend lee has a habit of showing up in the wrong footwear and one time for a Bendy and The Ink Machine cosplay, showed up in fucking slippers (or flip flops) and she also forgot to bring the tutu i bought her

later that day we got our pictures taken by someone who i think worked for the local newspaper The Star Advertiser, and god it was probably weird to see a girl in a black and white striped vest, white bowtie and horns, looking like she came out of the fantasy of an edgy preteen with a taste for vintage aesthetic, but wearing giant white flipflops

and if we happen to take a picture again for the newspaper (which is unlikely) im thinking theres a possibility of seeing a normal Sal in mismatching slippers, and thinking about that in my mind is so fucking funny to me.

It occurs to me that I made a very dumb choice in my cosplay for AMKE next Friday. I live in Wisconsin hell my birthday is in February and yet it didn't occur to me until today that it was going to be god damn cold and snowy during the convention. My cosplay involves sandals, a short dress and barely any sleeves........ I am an idiot. I'm still going through with it despite my extreme hate of cold but I'm probably wearing a coat, pants and shoes to the convention and switching parts of my outfit there. ... I also belatedly realized I just died my hair purple so I can't do my nepeta cosplay since I don't own a black wig. Next time Ill actually remember to consider weather when planing a cosplay.

I've been slowly going insane trying to alter and sew this... thing. There's like a month left. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? There was like EIGHT MONTHS left last I checked. T_T

What on Earth are you doing?!

.___. I'm trying not to be hard on myself about the cosplays. I have two months left. Our 10th doctor has left the area, 11 hates conventions, and my mentor got a full-time job and thus the Victorian dress isn't gonna be happening. I was pretty disheartened and frustrated but not at anyone else but myself.  Figuring, I never want this to happen ever again I filled out paperwork to be readmitted to The Art Institute and take up the sewing construction classes. I want to be able to finally and efficiently make all these costumes myself without being anxious that I'm going to screw everything up. A friend suggested I show her my sewing process. Teaching someone is a good way of learning so that's what I've been up to. Fighting back insecurities in my abilities. I'm not an amazing seamstress like my mentor but then again everyone has to start somewhere. :/
