I’m actually really impressed with myself. That I was able to finish these 2 cosplays this month around a really full work month. My next upcoming cosplay project. Ever since I saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame in theaters in 1996 not only did it become my favorite Disney movie of all time but I was immediately drawn to Esmeralda. She was my first introduction to a non Princess character of color that didn’t want nor need a Prince/Man (though she hooked up with Phoebus 🙄) but her main drive was that she was poor but humble and she fought for the underdogs, the outcasts and people who were treaded different for how they looked, their wealth or their beliefs. And as you can see right now in the world (mostly the US) that’s a major issue. I’ve been planning this cosplay for far too long and now it’s time to make it happen. My latest project. While in Quarantine I’ve been slowly working on this little number since day 1 of the “Safer at Home” order. I’ve clocked in around 60 hours on it and I couldn’t be prouder! Keep in mind it’s not finished: the skirt is about 97% done while the corset is about 60%. All I know is if you don’t hear Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson by looking at this dress then I failed! Haha!
