I went from being a below-average high schooler to being an above-average university student. Peep how I’m acing exams as a top uni student.
1. Brain dump ➛ I create a brain dump to assess how much of the content I’m actually retaining after studying each topic.
Pros = clarity + reflection + self-awareness + understanding
Cons = busy + overwhelming
2. Dual coding ➛ I do dual coding to mix text with visuals so I can study with both colorful diagrams and chunky paragraphs for balance.
Pros = balance + engagement + memory + variety
Cons = overcomplication + time-consuming
3. Feynman technique ➛ I use the Feynman Technique to explain each topic like I’m on r/explainlikeim5 because I def don’t understand a concept if I can’t dumb it down.
Pros = comprehension + confidence + precision + retention
Cons = frustration + oversimplification
4. Hustlers don’t stop, they keep going ➛ I schedule lengthy study sessions, with teeny-tiny breaks in-between them, because it’s time to lock the fuck in.
Pros = discipline + focus + productivity + progress
5. Reject modernity, embrace tradition ➛ I dig past papers out of their graves to answer questions from prior exams because history repeats itself.
Pros = familiarity + pattern-recognition + preparedness + reinforcement
Cons = limitation + repetition
I know damn well you want to go from Ds in high school to As in uni like yours truly.
