OCKiss Day 4: Reunion

Zephyrine and Clarissa

Two siblings who haven't seen each other in a while.

"Hellooo? Anyone here?" Clarissa's head jerked up from the flower bouquet she had been tying together. Oriole, her brother, grinned from across the kitchen.

"It's Zeph!" He exclaimed as he started to rushed forward, but Clarissa was closer, launching herself towards the entryway. Rounding the corner Zeph, her oldest sibling, stood in the doorway.

"Claire, hi!" They smiled, Kato's tail wagged beside them. She tackled them into a hug. "Whoa, is everything okay?" They asked, wrapping their arms around her.

"I missed you." She muttered as she tried to keep herself from crying. "I haven't seen you in four months."

"Oh... Claire, I'm sorry. It's been-" They stopped, their arms tightened as she felt them kiss the side of her head. "I missed you too."

"Can I have a hug too?" She heard Oriole say behind her.

"C'mere Ori." They held an arm out for him.

Mabel just wants hugs, but she has no arms.

Compass: What guides your character in their actions? What influences their decisions the most?

Thank you for the ask! I'll answer with the cast of Cramming.

Zeph has always been laid-back and chill when it comes to their life. They don't like having expectations put upon them on what they should do. For the most part their driving force is whatever they find the most fun. They're trying to live a better life then they were a few months ago.

Soul on the other hand cares very much about expectations. It's a constant battle between what she wishes to do and what her mother/family expect. Attending Lilium is the first selfish thing she's done, simply because she wanted to study illusion magic.

Ellie wants to follow his father and join those overseeing the border. He wants to help with finding a way for humans and elves to coexist.

Juniper's drive is to pursue the things she loves most and to stay with Ellie for as long as possible.

OCKiss Day 2: Rain

Juniper and Aurelius.

Junie and Ellie have been friends since they were children. Now they live together and are attending the same university.

Another rumble of thunder shook the window panes of Ellie's room. He smoothed his hand over Juniper's amethyst hair as she buried her face further against his chest.

As soon as he had heard the first crack of thunder he knew it was going to be a long night. Juniper was at his bedroom door in seconds and Ellie told her to come in at the first tentative knock. They cuddled close together, just like during their sleepovers when they were little, when they would whisper about anything and everything.

"It's almost over Junebug. Just a little longer." He murmured, placing a gentle kiss against her forehead. A small sob ripped from her throat as she twisted his shirt in her hands. His heart squeezed with sympathy to hear his usually fearless friend so scared.

C-CRACK BOOM.

The room flashed as thunder rolled, making both of them jump.

"Gods.." Ellie breathed. "I think we've had enough rain, Great Ameer. Could you calm down with the thunder?" He joked, just managing to catch Juniper's weak laugh. He gave her forehead another kiss, settling back to wait out the storm with his best friend.

OCKiss Day 1: Almost

Soulaetia and Zephyrine.

Soul is a magic prodigy who met Zeph on a university tour, through some mutual friends they were able to meet again and get to know each other.

I tried to keep these little story blurbs under 200 words, but I couldn't for most of them. 😅

Soul gently cupped her hands around Zeph's, careful not to smudge the powder coating their palms.

"Alright, now hold your fingers like this." She instructed quietly as she leaned her chin against the top of their head, moving their fingers into the proper somatic for the spell. "And say-" the Magic Language rolled off her tongue easily from years of practice and use. But Zeph stumbled over the words, still new to this particular spell.

The magic still flared between their palms, a deep navy shade, and Soul held her breath as it slowly swirled together. A small orb floated in space, she eased her hands away in order to give them room to experiment. As she did so, Soul heard Zeph's breath stutter and the orb wobbled before flickering out completely. 

"You almost had it." She huffed in amusement as they laced their fingers with hers, clean now that the spell had consumed the component. 

"I caaan't-'' they whined against her knuckles, "your hands are too pretty." They kissed her fingertips and Soul chuckled quietly.

There would be plenty more time to teach them her magic later.

Elven Familiars

I was asked to talk more about familiars. :3

Dad, Can We Get a Dog?

It's pretty common that young Elves summon their familiar around 13/14 years old. It's a choice though, they can choose not to if arcane arts don't interest them. Though as you can imagine an animal that can telepathically talk to you would be pretty cool to a kid.

The summoning itself is a circle drawn with chalk on the floor, a specific phrase in the Magic Language (name pending) is written around the inside of the circle. In front of the caster a piece of spirit quartz and an object important to the caster (an old toy, something they've made themselves) is placed within the circle.

They speak the verbal part of the spell and if they succeed-

Can it do any tricks?

Mage and familiar have a telepathic/emotional bond.

Familiar shares their magical power, making the mage more capable.

Familiars don't eat, or do most things regular animals do, being spirits.

Familiars do have what is referred to as a wearable form, transforming into a physical object their mage can wear.

The familiar grows and learns with their mage, some are lucky enough to build an incredibly deep bond with their familiar lasting an entire lifespan.

OCKiss Day 7: Dare

Lucian and Sebastian.

These are Zeph's parents! Sebastian is a professional artist and writer, he loves messing with his husband Lucian. They were high school sweethearts and love each other very much. :3

"Seb?" Lucian knocked on the door frame of Sebastian's studio, peering through the open door. "May I come in?" He looked up from his desk, a wide grin on his face.

"Luci! Of course!" Lucian carefully stepped into Sebastian's art studio, dodging the drop cloth covering most of the floor. "Where's the kids?"

"In the back garden, playing." He studied the painting currently on the easel in the middle of the room. The beautiful lilypad covered lake of Lilium Park was painted in bright greens and golden sunlight. "It's coming along nicely." Sebastian came over to where he was standing, wrapping his arms around Lucian from behind.

"It is. I'm almost finished, just needed a little break." He nuzzled against his neck and Lucian tensed.

"Sebastian, don't you dare!" He exclaimed, pushing at his arm, he felt Sebastian's smile against his skin.

"Don't what, Luci love?" He replied, perfectly innocent. Lucian fought a smile, tried to keep a stern voice.

"You know exactly what..."

"You mean.. this?" He placed small feather light kisses along Lucian's neck, he squealed and quickly dissolved into laughter.
