My favorite group of cotc is ice pop trio!

I just adore those three individually as characters so seeing them as a group is so cute! And better explores them as they’re pushed out of their niche and are forced to try something new! I.e their new dynamic away from their typical group of friends

I definitely headcanon even though I’m pretty sure it’s canon that those two become Craig’s closest friends as he ages since they all clicked so well, not that he didn’t click with Kelcy and Jp it’s just those two specifically clicked in an “oh this will happen later” kinda click

Also gives me an idea for an au

You don’t understand I saw the name and went “oh it’s just a dumb filler ep, I’ll skip it” BUT I ENDED UP WATCHING IT AND OH GOD!! I CRIED!!! The ice pop trio is so important to me bc it’s just three black kids working together, helping each other, three black kids who don’t have much in common but “hey it’s a hot summer day and we’re all alone so let’s work together”.

I feel like this episode just really reminded you what the show is really about, with all the “other creek” episodes before it you forget what the show is. It’s not kids saving the world there’s no high stakes, it’s just kids going to the corner store on a hot day and trying to make it back home in time for dinner.

Anyways I love the ice pop trio I love Craig of the creek, the nostalgia just slaps you in the face. Growing up in a black family, in a rly diverse neighborhood every scene is like “this is literally just my childhood wtf?”

Angst headcannon... but also a comfort headcannon: every once in a while, Handlebarb gets a hater comment that gets under their skin and it hurts them. Fortunately, they have the other 10 Speeds who will shower them with comfort and love, and give the hater that big “back off.”

You bike like a girl! Now that one really struck a chord. Handlebarb felt frozen to the spot as they watched the hater walk away with a smirk. The 10 Speeds gasped as they saw tears begin to run down Handlebarb's face.

Warpspeed marched to the hater. "You can't talk to our friend like that!"

Todd added, "Get outta here and never come back, before we make sure you never go anywhere again!"

The hater grimaced, quickening his pace. As he retreated, all the 10 Speeds crowded around Handlebarb to hug them. "Don't let anyone invalidate you," Cannonball told them.
