eyebrows hold power. use it responsibly

One thing drawing Sonic characters taught me is the value of showing expressiveness using just eye shapes without distinct eyebrows vs Distinct Eyebrows On Top Of The Eyes. once you understand this, you also must understand the power of Taking Eyebrows Away From Characters Who Have Them

I feel TADC's art style evolution kinda shows this, with some characters becoming more expressive with distinct eyebrows that appear randomly, but also still having other scenes where they express other particular emotions with no distinct eyebrows. it's basic fundamentals but they go a long way

Eyebrows show a grounded, quantifiable amounts of emotion the more distinct they are, which adds a vulnerability to the character since they're expressing their emotions more visibly. The less you can measure the exact amount of emotion someone is feeling, the less vulnerable they seem. or smth idk

Nayeli is a young prodigy known as the greatest living healer in Alemi. She is currently the Surgeon General of the Alnaharan ERT, and oversees medical training for the Alemian Union. She has revolutionized the medical field with research on scar tissue and reconstructive surgery. Nayeli was born during Dunia’s tumultuous reconstruction era, where she was orphaned at a young age in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake. Nayeli was captured and forced to work as a nurse for the Toy Soldiers, a militia of high-powered Sartori youth forced to work as child soldiers. She escaped the Toy Soldiers and later helped form the Alnaharan ERT. Nayeli is witty, warm, charming, commanding, and fiercely loyal. Nayeli is married to Calliope Akintola.

While concepts of gender and sexuality in Alemi do not neatly translate to identity labels in English, Nayeli would likely identify as a transgender femme lesbian. In English, Nayeli would use she/her pronouns and feminine terms like sister, wife, and mother. In-universe, Nayeli uses a combination of status based neopronouns. Greco-Roman inspired, primarily Roman Emperors

Also, emperor penguins, get it? (kill me)

Conquest via logistics, resources and technology rather than manpower

Asymmetrical to represent imbalance and overabundance

Golden apple fibula/brooch

Shadow on face + Helmet, wings, chest plate and cape to look more penguin-y

Laurel on top kind of looks like macaroni penguin feathers

Minutetech "The Horseman of War"

A pirate/naval captain

Minute tends to take on leadership roles, and the role of the navy is often to cut off resources from opponents, much like how Apocalypse has been attempting to do

Some pirates called "privateers" were even hired to do so!

Pocket watch, clock hand designs on sleeves, and hourglass designs for time

Star freckles for fun, bat wing ears because it's Minute.

Designs on coat meant to represent water and stars used for navigation

Purple because: Clown ate all the red, royalty, and their teams obsession with OSCs kind of reminds me of someone...

Rekrap "The Horseman of Famine"

A hunter, but with cervid imagery

The overhunting and absence of wolves in Yellowstone allowed elks to overgraze which caused a lot of ecological damage

Similarly, the absence of threats from many PvPers this season has allowed Rekrap to terrorize the server

Personal HC, but Rekrap came back "wrong" after being revived in s6

Deer(?) skull, eyes with vertical slit, and wolf tail; a wolf in deer's clothing

Rips in coat resemble ribs

Compass as an homage to his tracking skills, dragon tooth earring as an homage to speedrunning

Clownpierce "The Horseman of Death"

Grim Reaper/Shepherd

Clown has realized how lonely being without a team is, so he's hopefully gonna be a consistent and loyal teammate this season

What's the most constant, guaranteed and therefore loyal thing in life? Death.

I'm using shepherding as a symbol of loyalty as shepherds are often portrayed as being incredibly dedicated to their flock

Hence, a ram horn and shepherds crook on different ends of the scythe, and the wool

Also, a reverse of Rekrap; a sheep in wolf's clothing

Chains are a way to symbolize connection and loyalty, but are also an allusion to the myth of Sisyphus

The red pinky represents soulmates (red string of fate), but also the consequences of breaking a pinky promise (a broken pinky finger and $500)
