After being waxed and stripped of every last hair on my body, my skin was smooth and my entire body tingled with every movement or brush of air. As Laila bathed me in all of the brightly colored substances she could fine, I found out a bit about the Capitol from Saskia and Aziza as they spoke and prepared. Apparently Annalise was having a child with her lover and planning on disguising it as her husbands baby, Jasper's party last weekend was a complete failure and the band was so last month. The differences between the Capitol and home continued to grow.
Once my body was smooth and clean enough to where it shimmered, although that could be the product of Laila's addition of a bit of light red shimmer powder over my entire body, the three of them began to work into the details.
Saskia took over my hair, braiding red ribbon throughout and securing it to the back of my head, allowing for a few loose curls. If the slim ribbon wasn't enough, she placed a headdress on the top and I only assumed it would give away a bit of what I would be wearing tonight. Once my hair was secured in place and definitely fool-proof, Saskia brushed a bit of shimmer on top, in the light it had the look of flames.
Once my hair was done and the canvas was clean, Laila moved onto preparing my makeup as Aziza worked on the final jewelry touches. With her bags upon bags of makeup, Laila worked the eyeshadow onto my eyelids, giving me eyes the look of smoke and ash. Something I hadn't seen on myself before. Once she finished it off with a light lipstick and finalized the porcelain look of my skin, Aziza took over.
Slowly, she added decals along my arms, simple yet continued the flame-like shimmer throughout. Halfway through her procedure, the door to the room opened and a woman walked in. Not at all what I expected, all angles and sharp lines, my head stylist was not your average Capitolite
"So, I see you've been in good hands," she said with a smile, shielding the black garment bag from view. "I'm Verena and it seems I don't have too much of a job tonight," she extended her hand to me, the one that wasn't holding my parade costume.
"I'm Isobel, it's a pleasure to meet you," I said, shaking her hand. It seems all those nights of socializing and needing to impress my father's closest friends would come in handy.
"Ah and manners too, I have a feeling you'll be one to impress," with a small wink, Verena pulled the bag out from behind her and hung it on one of the hooks on the wall. "Shall we get started?" Unzipping the bag, she revealed to me exactly what kind of person I would be tonight. Another Isobel, another me.

Everyone sat quietly at the table, not speaking a word. Laelia's fingernails tapped against the table, which seemed to anger Dano. Talon and I quietly ate our food, waiting for the day to ease by. The Capitol's breakfast was way better than any other breakfast in all of Panem. Laelia gave a small cough, "I think you two should get ready, we are going to the Remake Room. There you will meet your Stylists and Prep Team, they will help you get ready for the Parade." Simultaneously, Talon and I left the table, heading into our separate rooms.
After dressing in a simple tank-top and pants, i exit my room to be greeted by Laelia and Talon. She was dressed in a grey shirt and back skinny jeans, accompanied by combat boots. "Are you ready?" Her voice sounded impatient, I nod my head. After walking through the Capitol, we finally arrive at a building, outside many Capitolites walked around. We all step inside the huge building, the inside was way more busier than outside. Many Capitolites with muti-coloured hair scurried around carrying fabrics and other designing items.
"This is the Remake Center, Ah, and there is your Prep Team Lyra." Laelia exclaimed. Shortly after, three beautiful woman walked towards our small group. Each carrying a smile, each having different colourd hair. One had hair that was mint green, another had beautiful pink hair, and the last one had blue-ish hair. "We are your Prep Team Lyra!" They all cooed.
"Follow us!" The girl with blue-ish hair spoke, waving her hand to make me follow. A gave a reassuring smile towards Talon and Laelia before i followed behind my Prep Team. "My name is Myrah Mint," The girl with mint green hair spoke. "This is Alice Muir and Spencer Lyde," She waved over towards the other two. "We are going to get you ready to meet your Stylists." All i could do was nod as i followed them into a small room. "Lay on the table." Alice pointed to the table. Once i laid on the metal table, they began their work. The girl with pink hair--Alice--began removing any unnecessary hair on my body. My eyes began to water as i bit my lip, the pain from the hair removal made me grip my nails into my own palms.
Alice let out a low sigh, "Can you settle down for a few more seconds?! I'm almost done." He voice sounded irritated. While my hair was being removed by Alice, Myrah began doing my makeup. She used shades of blue and greys, giving me a more natural look than a 'Capitol look'. Spencer simply sat at another table occupying the room, what she was doing was a mystery to me. Alice began whispering towards Myrah, i couldn't make out anything she said. But Myrah spoke loud, ignoring the whispering aspect. "I don't think Zyia will be happy if you change her hair." Alice rolled her eyes before continuing her work. After a slow, painful process, Alice finally finished the hair removal, Myrah finished my makeup, and Spencer continued to work on the unknown project.
"I will have to do your hair, then i will take you to see your stylists." Alice spoke, "Sit up, so i can do your hair." I simply oblige, once my blonde hair is put into two braids, i look at the final product. A smile appears on my face, they did an amazing job. "Oh, thank you so much. It's beautiful." Alice and Myrah smirk, happy they did their job correctly.

After Alice guided me into another room, i wait to meet my stylists at last. A few minutes went by before two Capitolites walk in: a boy and a girl. "Hello Lyra, my name is Zyia. This is my brother Zayne-" She waved to her brother, "And we are your stylists." They chimed together. Zayne brought in a rack full of outfits, while Zyia smiled. "These are the outfits, we made for you." I walked over to the rack of dresses, each one was unique and beautiful. Zayne pulled one dress off the rack, "But you will wear this to the Parade." The dress sparked with electricity. A huge smile washed over my face, "I love it."
