In the Cult, the Lamb is Your Idol! Back by their loyal band of bovine bishops. Saja… Bovines?

This idea came to me a while ago. It occurred to me Your Idol from KPOP Demon Hunters by the Saja Boys, fit Cult of the Lamb's dynamic to T. Demon powered entitles vying to gain the worship and admiration of mortals. So now when I listen to the song, I can't help but imagine the Lamb, Goat, and my OC playable characters for my Cotl 2 idea Gazelle, Yak, and Ox. I mean a bunch of the lyrics lineup well, when you think about it! With this idea in mind, I'd love it if someone wanted to make an animatic of this. Also Saja means lion and the Lamb has been associated with the lion by Shamura.

The logo in the place of the Saja Boys' is one I designed for the Lamb and their team.

I had in mind who portrayed which Saja Boy. The Lamb as Jinu was obvious, even though I mostly perceive Gazelle as female, I went with Baby on that one, Yak as Mystery was a given with the bangs, Ox after Yak has the most hair I thought suited Romance, and that left Goat for Abby which I thought works out. I did my best adapting Romance’s pose to Ox, there wasn’t a lot of ways it could be any closer without their big head covering their arm or anything looking over exaggerated.

"You, I know that crown. It belonged to my lord and teacher, the old god, Xortus."

"I doubt Narinder has told you anything about me. I am his blood sister, and the original heir of the red crown."

"He wanted me to be forgotten, hidden away forever. So he forced upon me the ritual of mummification."

"Cursing me to be stuck between life and death. Xortus could no longer see me, so passed the crown to my brother."

"Now you awaken me from my dreamless slumber. The new reigning god of death."

"I beseech you, Lamb. I am incomplete, missing the pieces of myself, keeping me from both living and dying."

"My tomb was plundered, my pieces are missing, the canopic jars. Find them, make me whole again, this I ask you."

"In return you may decide my fate, life or death."

Bast is Narinder's older sister from long ago. She was to receive the red crown when Xortus stepped down. Narinder was jealous, and wanted the crown himself. In secret he made a deal with the inhabitants of the Swelter Sands. Tricking Bast there, they bound her and mummified her. Placing a curse that without her taken organs, she would be neither living nor dead. Putting in a sarcophagus where she's been trapped in a dreamless sleep for ages. The keys to breaking the curse, kept mere feet away in her tomb. Xortus could see all who lived and those who have died. Since Bast was neither, he could no longer see her. To him, she had simply disappeared from existence. After some time, thieves found and pillaged her tomb, and taking the canopic jars. To which she could see but do nothing about. Until the Lamb discovers her tomb deep in the Swelter Sands and awakens her. As a side quest, the Lamb can track down and reclaim her five missing parts. Bast has only kept her eyes, tongue, and heart. The latter of which has been broken, after her own brother's betrayal.

Her mind, liver, stomach, intestines, and lungs.

After completing this side quest, like her brother the player can decide either to kill her or keep her alive to join the cult. Her follower form would resemble that of Narinder, Aym, and Baal. Bast would just get to keep some bandages as her unique form trait.

I was inspired by the fact pharaohs would have their cats mummified with them. And of course the Egyptian goddess Bastet, also known as Bast. Who is her namesake, like Heket's is.

Long ago before Narinder's imprisonment. Each of the Bishops of the Old Faith had a bitter rivalry with a god in the lands beyond. These other gods were admittedly stronger then their Bishop rivals. It was the Bishops' unity that kept these other gods at bay. Salvanis's rival was Shamura.

Their rivalry began before the two were even gods. Salvanis was the one who found the purple crown first. But in his hastened excited flight, he neglected to watch where he went and got caught in Shamura's web. The spider closed in, Salvanis quickly struggled free and escaped, leaving the purple crown behind in the web, to which Shamura claimed. Salvanis would later spitefully search for another crown to claim, the grey crown.

Salvanis constantly feeds on the dreams of mortals, not just getting sustenance and power, but their knowledge and secrets. Including those from the Bishops of the Old Faith's followers. Shamura didn't like Salvanis could penetrate the minds of their disciples. Salvanis couldn't stand light even when not physically being somewhere. Nightlights were sources some used to ward off Salvanis' reach, but only slightly. But hindered their ability to sleep, as darkness inspires sleep. Shamura created a better more effective alternative. They weaved their webs to make dreamcatchers, with the power to protect dreamers from Salvanis completely. With not the need for light, and having full assurance Salvanis could not feed on the minds, imagination, and knowledge of mortals. Salvanis of course didn't like it, the dreamcatchers themselves reminded him of how his rivalry with Shamura began. These two also never saw each other again after Narinder's imprisonment. Salvanis would relish knowing Shamura's knowledge and clarity slipped with their mind.

It's no coincidence each bovine bishop gets their colored copy of the red crown. The red crown couldn't originally divide itself into four copies. They are shadowed reflections of the Bishops of the Old Faith's absorbed power. Goat gets a shadowed copy of Shamura's power. An improved empowered version, making the Goat stronger with their raising faith in the Lamb. Because the crown copy carries Shamura's power, it is the perfect counter to Salvanis. The dream vampire was very displeased at the sight of Goat wearing a crown of Shamura's color.

Another reason Salvanis distastes the Goat. In relation to vampires and their reflectionless nature to mirrors. Since the Goat is a living reflection of the Lamb, Salvanis doesn't like that. Him a master of darkness, the Goat a shadow made flesh, not his to control.

The relic of Salvanis is his Ruby of Requiem. He wears on his collar. The First Dreamcatcher of Shamura can also be collected.

The reason Shamura doesn't have their bandages, is because the shadow shows them back before getting wounded. During the prime of the spider and the bat's hated rivalry.

Fun Fact: Bats have been known to get caught in spiderwebs.

"Behold, Little Lamb! For it is I, Doragon! Ancient God of Storms, Creator of all reptilian life, Bearer of the Gold Crown, and I have come for you!”

"I left this unworthy world behind countless ages ago. But your swift rise to power has caught my attention."

"You wear the Red Crown. That which belonged to my brother, Xortus. Who bequeathed it to your predecessor, Narinder."

"I return to make certain you are worthy of bearing the crown of my brother...of an Old God." - Doragon

Of the six Old Gods, Doragon is the third youngest. She is the most prideful and flashy of her siblings. Doragon LOVES big entrances. Hence the lightning and tornados she summons here, to display first and foremost just how almighty she is. Worthiness means a lot to her. When Doragon deemed the world unworthy of her presence, she left taking her storms with her. Upon hearing the rise of the Lamb however, and knowing they have the Red Crown. She wants to make sure the Lamb is worthy. Doragon's powers aren't just wind and lightning, she brings all weather, including rain, hail, sandstorms, blizzards, etc. Being both a dragon and a god of storms, yeah, she's very flashy. Think of one of the things that set the Old Gods apart from the lesser ones: presentation.

Doragon's role in the game isn't as stage boss. I had the idea of an arena where warriors hone their skills, against opponents as mighty as themselves. She assigns the arena master to set up different tests and challenges for the Lamb to face. Not just battle, but mental, and moral tests. And maybe a final test is a one-on-one showdown with the God of Storms.

A little fact about Doragon. I don't have a lambsona, or honestly want one. Doragon is who I'd personify as in the Cult of the Lamb universe!

Cobraia the God of Gluttony and Heket the Bishop/God of Famine. I'm sure it's clear why these two despised each other. Heket tried often to starve Cobraia's followers. But Cobraia consumed their hunger, eat their fill. The great snake is eternally starving, her followers feed her faithfully. To never know the plight of hunger themselves. Some would even rather sacrifice themselves as meals to her, so the others wouldn't go hungery. The fact Heket was powerless against Cobraia's abilities, burned her up inside. Her pride would never allow her to admit Cobraia was stronger. They battled from time to time, Cobraia nearly swallowing Heket whole at times. But her siblings would always intervene before it came to that. After Narinder's imprisonment, the two rivals never saw each other again. Heket knew Cobraia would never let her live it down, her slit throat, a constant show of her weakness.

"Greetings. You must be the Lamb everyone has been talking about. I've heard the stories."

"We have much in common. I too became different after pledging my service to a god."

"Once I was a shining example of nature, now I use it's splendors to brew, heal, and assist."

"Perhaps you could benefit from my alchemic solutions? I can make potions, poisons, and much more. You may purchase straight from my shelves or bring me resources to brew with." - Lomasi

Cult of the Lamb 2

Lomasi is an Alchemist, and crow. She travels to the different lands healing the sick and injured. And if some jerk might end up dead out of nowhere, no one can prove she might or might not have poisoned them.

Lomasi wasn't always an alchemist, or black. Long ago she was a legendary beacon of beauty, the Rainbow Crow. Who's singing voice could captivate the gods themselves. Till one day one of the old gods, the god of seasons asked for her aid. During the cold winter they were helpless to warm their followers through the season. They asked her to fly to the sun and retrieve a piece of it's warmth. Lomasi agreed, for her beauty was rivaled only by her loyalty. It was a long flight, but eventually she reached the sun, and sung her beautiful song. In return the sun gave an ember of its fire, and she began her journey back. But that was even harder. If she went to fast the flame would go out, too slow and the fire would overwhelm her. As she got closer, the smoke and soot from the fire darkened her beautiful rainbow feathers. When Lomasi breathed, her lungs found only smoke and she could no longer sing her song. She could only "Caw!" Upon her return she was not recognized at first. But Lomasi was quickly thanked and respected by the god. She had completed her task, but at a great cost. Lomasi lost both her colorful feathers and lovely singing voice. But even though it might've seemed like she lost her color, if one looked closely they can still see the rainbow in her feathers. The god promised to pay her back for her sacrifice, but never got the chance. They were later slain by another god, and the seasons stopped changing. Lomasi turned to alchemy as a way of continuing to helping others. Using natures natural resources to provide for herself and others.

Her shop allows the Lamb and their friends to purchase and automatically make potions and poisons. In 2 status effects are introduced like slowing down, poison (slowly losing health), and getting frozen. Lomasi can make potions to replenish health, and cure status ailments. Or cause them, that's what her poison do. In battle the Lamb can throw the bottled poisons like bombs to effect enemies. Multiplayers can also throw potions at each other to cure, the range might also accidently cure enemies. But the poisons can cause friendly fire on players too. The player can also freely drink the poisons if they so chose, for whatever weird reason. Later in the game Lomasi can inoculate the Lamb and others to the poisons. Not from getting the status effects from enemies, just from her poisons. The Lamb has to gather alchemic recipes to brew anything new. The already made brews in Lomasi's shop are purchased, but giving her resources to brew doesn't cost anything. One of the most powerful brews needs a god tear and Lomasi feather, which can allow resurrection without a sacrifice.

Lomasi only wears her mask when she brews, which is most of the time. There will be a design of her without her mask. Around her would be shelves of various bottles. I used Clauneck and his siblings as reference. Lomasi's mask is based off plague doctors. Alchemist using wear protective masks.

"I gave you every chance to leave, surrender, even join me. But now Lamb, you've forced my hand. So to speak. First I shall consume this rebellious gazelle, your precious cult, and then you. With that I will absorb the red crown's power for myself, and the entire world will be mine to devour!" - Cobraia

Cult of the Lamb 2, Year of the Snake!

In the final confrontation against Cobraia, she absorbs the life force of her followers to take on her ultimate form. Because of a secret advantage Cobraia hold over the Lamb, they cannot harm her. So it's up to Gazelle to slay the great snake, and liberate the Swelter Sands!

Cobraia's final boss form. She gets twice as big as she usually is, large spiked ridges along her body, spiked brows and jaws, a larger more detailed and larger spiked sails, a tail rattle, her underbelly is pointed downwards, and her body pattern is pointed and one both her upper and lower sides. To resemble teeth along her body, relating to her all consuming nature.

I would think some of the boss mechanics would be first her burrowing. Cobraia can control and extend the length of her body. During the battle she makes barriers with her body, limiting the player's range of movement. Get hit by her venom attack, and a few hearts of health will deteriorate over time. Her rattle acts as a mace to swing and damage, it can also sound and summon Cobraia's minions to battle. Only her head is vulnerable to attack. Cobraia's best attack is chomping over the whole battlefield in three rows, like the classic game Snake. Best to quickly jump out of her way for that.

"Well, well, It seems one of my favorite little morsels finally built up the courage to stand up against me.”

“And they've brought none other then the Lamb, the new god of death, to help fight their battles."

"You've made a costly mistake bringing them to my domain."

"I was willing to ignore the Lamb and their precious flock, so long as they remained out of my desert."

"Did you think I wouldn't be prepared if you came? Did you really think I wouldn't assure my survival, and the continuation of my reign?"

"You wouldn't dare stand against me little Lamb. Not when I possess that which you hold dear, your last hope, your greatest desire!"

In spirit to the beginning Year of the Snake, Cobraia takes the spotlight!

Cult of the Lamb 2 idea.

The Gazelle sought the Lamb to help liberate the rest of the gazelles of the Swelter Sands, from the consuming tyranny of Cobraia. But the great snake had been expecting the Lamb to potentially coming. She's got leverage over the Lamb. So while they Lamb cannot fight her directly, Gazelle can use their gifted power, to end the hungry serpent. To claim the Swelter Sands in the Lamb's name, expand the cult, and free the gazelles forever.

In Cobraia's sprite she's mostly coiled around herself. That and she can control the length of her body. This isn't quite the form she'd take in a final battle. But she's bigger and badder then she can appear at first glance. I would imagine in battles she would lengthen and coil further and further as the battle would rage on.
