What if Seta and the fox had became more than friends would it have ended badly or continued?

THEORETICALLY, it would continue on and advance more BUT at a very slow pace.

Okay, this is gonna be a hell of lot to explain cause they my bbgs.

Friendship wise they have gone/will go through a lot. Despite the pettiness and shit talking, they genuinely have a strong foundation so something more could easily transition from that.

But the downfall of these 2 on and why it would take so slow to advance/may slightly not work is because they are stubborn and there is certain reasons.

1. Fox genuinely only feels a handful of emotions because he is a demon. He can develop and has before gained new emotions, but because of his nature he is very limited. Having something like love would take a long time. He knows and understands emotions but he can’t relate to a lot of them.

2. Seta was raised in such a way that now prevents herself to be that open, vulnerable and accept the idea of a relationship in general. So for her to advance into an actual relationship would be such a struggle for her even if it’s with the closest person she knows. Also despite how old she is, Seta herself is actually pretty innocent/unaware to a lot of things like romantic love/relationships because she was sheltered from those topics.

I could go into more detail but for now that is all!

Fun Fact!! Fox looks smaller here compared to that previous sketch with him and Lamb(this image) ; Is because Fox can change sizes, he is normally a lot bigger but around Seta he makes himself his shortest he can which is 8ft. Reason why is a whole different topic.

FINAL NOTE!! , their platonic name is Deal Duo, but their ship name is Bloody Shrooms, a name @lucy-firechild-arts has given them.

Unfinished Trials

Seta as once Heket’s successor once had to go through the trials to godhood.

She was considered to be in her early 20’s (she is over 100ish bc the crown affects aging) when put through these tests and it took her many years to get far. Heket never informed Seta that she could be revived, she expected her successor to get through each challenge without dying.

This made Seta taking breaks between challenges to level up and continue on, making her trial last a few years. Unfortunately as she made it halfway, her trails were cut to an end because at that point Heket and Seta had a falling out. Centuries go by and Seta has still yet to finish her trial.

If Seta were to finish the trials she would have become the god of curses, since she was the original/creator of the Fleece Of Curses.

I can’t believe I have not fully colored my Deal duo in a year and their designs changed sm

I wanted to play around with lighting and reference how Fox keeps Seta in the dark with him. I really to need to make something that explains these 400 year roommates dynamics more.

They are crazy, stupid, petty, I love them sm

Still working on some wips and character designs. Here is a warmup sketch I did a while ago of Seta back in the ye old yellow crown days.

So i know that Seta is typically unable to sleep due to her fear, and that she basically pays the fox to guard her. But has there ever been a instance where she manage to sleep more than she payed for? i remember seeing a post where she got a decent chunk of time. If she has manage to sleep longer does the fox wake her, or does he let her sleep and just demand more when she wakes up?

OKAY SO-

It is all of that!

When Seta first made a deal with Fox she would pay souls first and then sleep. But Fox has the intention to slowly kill her and eat her soul since then. So he messed with her and took advantage of her fear to make her more tired. Yes Seta did have a ‘safe space” to rest but she was so scared of sleeping that she couldn’t at all, so if anything she was chillin before going back out again. This happened for a good long time until Fox was finally able to make his move his move, as seta would start trusting him to sleep more by but would wake her up telling her stay is overdue. He would discretely charge her more to stay and that forced to stay out longer and it got to the point she needed 20 souls to rest for like a few days. Seta would have caught on this but she was so sleep deprived and had many bad side affects from her poison mushroom power It truly messed with her.

Eventually she did catch it on after knocking out so bad she could not wake up at all until her body was rested enough to let her. And when she did and it jsut hit her what fox has been doing, she beat(stabbed honestly ) the hell out of Fox for altering their deal and playing her like that.

And then that is when their deal become more honest after it was changed so Seta can sleep however long she likes and can pay afterwards. Overtime and Fox slowly gaining more emotion he does let Seta skip the deal every once in a while , but he would ask for more later (if it really has been a long while the she would have to pay before getting back in his portal). After all that mess was cleared Seta strongly made fox agree the max souls she would give him was 5 and No more than that.

Because of that Seta has slept a good amount times but she is always more awake in general so she still feels crap but less at least. Fox is used to playing bodyguard but he does get so bored, that was part of the reason he woke up Seta more back then to get her out. But he is more limited when she started sleeping beside him (because she eventually got used to/trust him more, and it was comfortable because of all the souls he rigged out of Seta, made him be more developed and fluffier)

Seta hates drinking but Ratau loves it, so he kindly makes sure he drinks enough for the two of them!
