see the thing is i'm kinda of the opinion that sansa/gendry is an abomination??? (not only is she arya's sister but sansa and gendry's personalities clash almost as much as arya and young griff's ok i'm gonna stop now)
but i do love how much you've thought about this and it sounds REALLY amazing (angsty, fiery just like you said, all the good modern au things basically) so maybe you could try stevie (cotterpyke). i think she could do it justice a lot better than i could. i'm sorry i just have absolutely no idea how i would write gendry and sansa like that
Hi! So, i'm not sure how you send prompts/requests, so i'm doing it through 'submit', sorry if it's wrong, but here it goes. I dont know why but i've been having this idea of an arya/gendry/sansa love triangle, i blame the fic 'no featherbed for me'.
- everyone is older, Arya is 18 and comes home after finishing high school in an italian school. Gendry is Robert's and Cersei's oldest son. They haven't seen each other since they were kids, now they meet again and eventually fall for each other (somehow, haven't really thought about details). Sansa has always had a crush on Gendry and is jealous when he and Arya start going out. Cerseid disaproves of the romance between the two bc she dislikes Arya bc of her rebellious behavior and resemblance to Lyanna (with whom Robert has always been in love but died). They date for a few months before Cersei schemes to make Arya look guilty of a minor crime (have no idea what that may be) but says she will not press charges as long as Arya is sent away (or something like that idk) and Catelyn, not wanting everyone to find out (bc it would be a shame to the family), sends arya to a boarding school in another country, in which she can't have visitors and any contact at all with anyone that isn't family. Sansa knows the truth bc Cersei told her and said this was her chance to have Gendry, so she decides to stay quiet and let everyone think Arya is really guilty. Gendry wasn't present when the whole thing went down (was in some trip or something) and when he comes back, Arya is gone and Catelyn forbid everyone that knows to tell anyone at all the truth, so they tell Gendry Arya got a scholarship in some university and left. Before she left Arya asked Sansa to tell Gendry everything, but she doesn't.
- 2 years later Arya finally comes back, Catelyn plans a welcome party to her for all the high society people who taught she was studying abroad to attend, in the party she finds out that Gendry and Sansa have been dating for a year, but no one told her (all the while Jon is in the army, he needs to be out of the picture bc he's too loyal to Arya to not tell her something like that).
That is what I have in mind... After that i didn't really think of details, i would just love to see these characters in a storyline similar to this one... Maybe later Sansa could get pregnant after hooking up with Joffrey but lie about it and say Gendry is the father (after all they dated for a year or so) and Gendry being as honorable as he is, tell the Starks that he will marry Sansa, even though he is still hopelessly in love with Arya... ANYWAY, some teenage drama for the Starks and Baratheons!
