Chedworth, Withington and the Roman villa, in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. The Roman villa was buried and lost. The railway was built above it in the 19th century, and that too was closed and returned to the wild. The Romans went home, but the descendants of the Roman snails they brought to the Cotswolds to eat can still be found in Withington Woods. Like this one.
