Gen was drawn with such dead eyes in his first appearance, like?? Bro was probably ready to go through it since waking up.
And then after hanging out with the Kingdom of Science a bit having all the basic needs met and some, his eyes gets drawn with some light in them. Like the difference from the before above to here around the observatory scene is so big and then it just kept getting brighter.
SPOILERS FOR FINAL CHAPTERS:
The fact that Gen become a diplomat instead of chasing the limelight speaks volumes for his character in ways, especially when he rather goes back to wearing the old stone world kinds of leathers over the modern tailored suit when things are picking up for their world at that time.

Idk, I just really adore Gen as a character and sometimes I wish there was a little more info to his past and a bunch of other characters, some contrast in the before and after the petrification. Over all he seems like he’s over the show biz part of his old job but still likes to perform for others
