For #WalnutWednESday here’s a shot of the way things used to be around Casa #DeeBeeUs™ back at the end of 2016, including the first #Gretsch #guitar I ever bought, a 1972 #CountryGentleman. People disparage 70s Gretsches but this one sounded superb. It just had a slight tendency to neck dive which I just could not learn to live with, so I sold it. #ToneHenge™ 2016 consisted of the 1965 #Fender #Vibrolux Reverb (on an @atlasstands ampstand), with a 1957 5F1 #Champ on top (now in the collection of @the_damo_experience), plus a 1963 Fender #DeluxeReverb (behind the #CountryGent) and a 2012 #Marshall 50th Anniversary #JTM1 C 1 watt amp - both of these were sold to fund new acquisitions 😕. Thats the cute little Mack Amps “Gem” 4/0.4 watt on top of the Marshall. Still have that one. PS: the pedalboard is also by @atlasstands. Made from antique North Carolina tobacco sticks, which were used up until the 1970s to hang tobacco leaves from barn rafters to dry! Seriously...I can’t make this stuff up! #guitars #guitarra #chitarra #guitarre #electricguitar #vintageguitars #vintagegretsch #gretschguitars #tone #guitargear #guitarsdaily #guitarsofinstagram #geartalk #vintagegear #gretschguitarsofinstagram #guitarphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/BwWoZeIBk1z/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=g2cfxmbas86p
