what's the most influential piece of media you've ever experienced? as in, like did you watch a movie five years ago and you still can't stop thinking about it, or you read a book that changed how you write or something? and uh, a more easy question, do you collect anything?
Ooooohhhhh this is a really good question! I really have three pieces of media that I think impacted me the most. When I was in middle school I got really into Fullmetal Alchemist, and I think that really impacted me. It was the first piece of fiction I fell so deeply in love with, introduced me to fandom, and the story I really think helped influence my worldview.
The second thing is Carol (2015). That movie was one of the first films I watched that really made me Feel ya know? I always cry when I watch it, and it inspired me to want to make things like that, movies or books or something that really touches people on that deep emotional level.
The last thing it a book I finished in December; IT by Stephen King. That book really touched me for some reason. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t remember a lot of my childhood, or I just really resonated with the themes of growing up and losing what you used to have (me being 20 years old), but I really liked it. I can’t stop thinking about it, especially the quote towards the end:
“You don't have to look back to see those children; part of your mind will see them forever. They are not necessarily the best part of you, but they were once the repository of all you could become.”
Something about this book really touched me, and I recommend it if you can stomach horror and some of the uh. weird parts
and to answer your easy question, I actually just started collecting vintage lesbian pulp novels lol
Thanks for the ask! this was a fun one
happy 23rd birthday to @countvonroo!! I took a swing at creating designs for these characters based off her descriptions. It was a lot of fun!

god this is so FUCKING HARD teese, you know how i love my lyricless songs!!!!
there are so so many i could say but…. i think anthropology anthology by piglet
LITERALLY!!! FUCK! I just read a line where lance's mom is speaking english and then calls him an "idiota." literally, everybody I know would just say idiot. like come on, this is such a reach. and earlier in the chapter the person just copy and pasted ¡Ustedes, para por favor! ¡Detender! as "You guys! Stop it, please! Stop!" and like that sentence doesn't even make sense. even my 1st grade grasp of spanish can tell you that.
I guarantee fanfic writers that they can find at least 1 person fluent in Spanish that will make sure their translation is not estúpido (that means stupid in the Spanish)

I know you hate lala land and twin peaks while so many people loved it, so what's a movie that you love that people dislike? who was your first OC? is chipbot sentient?
The last question is easiest to answer so: yes, chipbot is sentient and has a life independent of my own
Second question: If we’re getting historical my first oc was essentially just a Pokémon ripoff. So like, all the characters associated with that. I even drew up a detailed map. Fun fact Pokémon as a franchise happened to use more than one name I had come up with at the time.
First question: I have a soft spot for “As above, so below” because it fits my favorite horror niche: caves and catacombs. The movie is, objectively, bad, with no memorable performances by the actors. Your standard shitty horror movie. But since it’s in the Catacombs, I ate that shit up. Also idk how many people actually watched and hated this movie but ya know. Life as a niche binch
oh shit
