Summary: It's been a few weeks since Courtney moved in with Ray, and he can't stop jumping that damn fence
Okay so I wrote this at like 1 AM fight me
Ray could see the fence to work, he had his bag slung over his shoulder and his feet were moving fast, jumping the fence would be a piece of cake, really. He'd done it a million times before.
When he got about a foot in front of the fence, he jumped forward, his hands reaching for the top. They latched on, and his feet bounced on the wiring when they collided.
He started moving up his feet, tossing one leg over the side.
Alright, he got that far. Now he just needs to move over his other leg and balance-
shit
He yelled and his legs hit the pavement, blood oozing right away. He braced himself with his hands, but they were just as scraped.
'OW OW OW', he kept thinking
He was only a few feet from the building, but he couldn't walk in like that! Explaining it would be a wreck. He quickly reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone, dialing a number by memory
"Hello?" A sleepy voice answered from the other side.
"Hey, uh, Courtney, I need you to get some bandaids and get over to RT now."
Courtney rubbed her eyes with her free hand and looked at the clock that read 8 AM
"Why the hell should I get out of my perfectly comfy bed so I can get your stupid bandaids?"
Ray huffed and held his phone between his shoulder and ear, wincing at the pain of his palms
"Because you love me." He responded.
Courtney groaned, sitting up.
"That isn't good enough, what did you do this time?" She asked.
"I sorta, heh, fell off the fence." He said nervously, knowing she had gotten tired of him doing that.
Her eyes shot wide open, and she ripped off her covers.
"God damn it Ray! How many times have I told you not to jump the fence! You're gonna break your neck!" She said as she put on a t shirt that was on the floor.
Ray slowly picked off the gravel that was stuck in his palms, and gave a nervous smile.
"Come on, just bring the bandaids!" He said.
Courtney put on a pair of flip flops and went to the bathroom, opening the medicine cabinet.
"Fine, but I choose the bandaids!" She said, hanging up right away.
He sat there for a good 15 minutes before Courtney came running up to him, clearly out of breath.
"This.. is the last... fucking time I swear." She said, panting. She took a few breaths and sat down in front of her boyfriend, holding a carton of bandaids.
She took one out, which happens to be a bright pink Hello Kitty bandaid.
"The guys are gonna love this." He said, rolling his eyes.
"I would hope so." She responded, putting that one of the top of his knee, and applying two more below it. She duplicated the process with the other knee.
"Now give me your palms." She said, glaring at him.
Ray sighed and showed her, and she grimaced.
She applied two bandaids on each palm, and then took one of her hands to Ray's head, pulling him close so she could kiss his forehead.
"Don't jump the fence anymore, okay?" She said, giving him a tired smile.
"As long as you stop blasting your music at 4 AM." He responded, getting up.
"I can't help my artistic groove." She said, still sitting down.
He smirked at her, and then reached for her hand, helping her up.
"See ya when I get home?"
She raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, sure. But don't be expecting any." She told him, winking and turning away, walking out of the parking lot.
Ray stood there blinking for a minute, before walking into the office.
