I figure people who've had the Covid Vaccine and NOT suffered any major side-effects needs to speak-up more. So here I am. I had my first vaccine on 20th. My arm felt a little heavy a few hours later, and mildly tender when used, but that was it.
It is so exhausting living here. I’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve had to beg the government not to kill or maim us over the last year. Of course, for 116,287 of us (more, really) it wasn’t enough. My brother wasn’t vulnerable, and didn’t have it “badly”. He’s merely lost his sense of smell, no sign of it coming back so far after two months. He's deaf. So he’s down to ... 2.5 working senses (because it affects taste too), NBD, why should anyone care about letting that happen to them? His asthmatic colleague, perfectly able to work from home, is currently being pressured to return to the office. I’m not “vulnerable” as far as I know, either. But I don’t want to roll the dice on dying. I don’t want to be disabled. I don’t want any organ damage at all. I don’t want to lose my sense of smell. I don’t even want to be temporarily, non-seriously ill, for fuck’s sake, why should I? The brain fog people report scares me so much. I have ADHD, no one’s going to give a fuck about that from a “vulnerability” angle but I just ... I can’t afford to fuck around with that. We’ve exported a fucking killer variant to the world which wouldn’t have had the chance to exist if we hadn’t let so many people get ill to begin with. And no matter how compelling and transparent the arguments, no matter how obvious the facts, no matter how heartfelt our pleas for our lives and our health, they just keep coming back with this. Can we hurt you now? Okay, but now? What about now? Now? Now? Now?
Sorry but I have a genuine question, but I'm not entirely sure how to word it.
Why is football (and other sports) allowed, with that amount of people attending and no social distancing...all the people touching, hugging, etc with no masks, but parents can't visit children's sports days etc when willing to wear masks and sanitise etc? Or why children can't attend their transition day? Or why some university students still can't return to full time campus teaching, that is face to face and not online?
anyone else got fucked over by the government for like the millionth time this week?
also, happy birthday to my boi hawking

the whole of england just got unconsensually entered into a Covid herd immunity experiment. theyre scrapping all restrictions even though were on course for 50,000 cases a day which will lead to death, long covid and fuck knows what other long term problems given its been shown to reduce brain matter. so if anyone wants to come save our asses thatd be incredibly sexy.

Hey, if you live in the UK, can you sign this petition?
Social distancing from thirty-odd in your average classroom is obviously impractical, and it's made worse when most of them aren't wearing masks. My younger brothers have started school again and I'd prefer it if neither I nor the rest of my family were infected.
If you don't live in the UK, then I'm afraid you can't sign, but please reblog!
The government has recently announced that schools and colleges are to reopen in full in September, meaning that in many cases, social dista
