This Cold Gray Tuesday
I mentioned in this post that my dad was in the hospital after an auto accident. The day I went to visit him, he was in the trauma unit where the COVID-19 protocol was only one visitor per day. Today, they moved him to a step down unit but, in this area, the COVID-19 protocol is no visitors allowed at all so I had to talk to him on the phone. He’s been walking but his right leg is hurting and they think he might have a fracture so a specialist is going to come in to examine him. The guy who hit my dad was 55 years old, uninsured, without a driver license and was in a vehicle he didn’t own when he ran the red light at about 70 mph and T-boned the driver side of my dad’s truck. The steering column was so damaged the key couldn’t be removed and they had to pull the battery to shut off the engine. If my dad hadn’t had his seat belt on, he would have gone out the passenger side window and been laying in the street.
My wife bought some sage today. We have the worst luck keeping sage alive from year to year:
An inch worm ... I just noticed it makes the daisy blossom look like it’s smiling:
