having a furry s/i is soooo silly bc sometimes Feesh forgets how to speak or simply doesn’t feel that human language can convey the emotions they’re feeling and next thing you know they’re going “Moooooo” mid sentence.

they do this the most when they get little adhd brain-lag moments and it kind of put off/irritated Lambert when they first met but now he finds it super endearing actually and is able to understand certain moos or other cow sounds

DRABBLE YAYYYY

  I remember the first night I began to notice. He didn’t want our conversation to end. He knocked on the door of my room and I let him in, the slight draft of the stony Keep walls a sigh of comfortable coolness on my fur. He had replaced his leather gambeson plates with a simple black lounge tunic with scrunched quarter sleeves and brown trousers. 

   We started sitting next to each other on my bed. Our legs brushing but our hands (or paws) in our laps. At this point I had indeed bore witness to Lambert being less sharp. He was truly relaxed this night however. The tension in his muscles slacked more, his amber eyes glowing faintly in the room. The biting, quick remarks were less present, as was the prickly tone he held. 

And he would smile. 

   Not mere shallow smirks but genuine smiles to his eyes that accentuated the lines on his face. 

  At one point Lambert’s eyes drifted to my face once again. His typically slit, feline pupils were rounded as the full moon. He fell silent for a few seconds before speaking lowly. His hand rested on my knee. 

“You’re growing on me fast.”

  A minor jolt shot through my body. My previous experienced in this area were…poor. This was a confession, wasn’t it? It must’ve been. I was unsure. Though the comfort I felt around Lambert had been growing. To say that he didn’t make me feel fuzzy inside would be a boldfaced lie. 

“So are you.” I managed to murmur out, tail thumping on the bed while I fidgeted. 

   Another bout of silence sat in the room with us before Lambert spoke up again. “Would you bite me if I gave you a hug?” The teasing slipped back in effortlessly. I would be stupid to turn down his offer. 

“No, no biting.” A small, almost unexpected laugh left me. 

  I would be enveloped by his strong arms. I returned the embrace, letting my eyes flutter shut. As I was getting comfortable with the contact he would roll onto his back, pulling me against his chest so I rested on him. My face was even with his heart. I could hear it pumping faster than I had expected, though the witcher controlled it and the regular rhythm was back. A sigh exited my lungs. I caught his scent much better. Alcohol and potions and sweat. And something that was just uniquely, distinctly Lambert. His calloused hands gently rubbed me back between my feathery wings. 

     Pure bliss. For years I had been deprived of this. I kept away from this kind of contact and love for such a long time. You can’t trust people. Yet that night, I trusted the witcher. Unbeknownst to me it was the first night of trusting him for the rest of my life. This was real with no strings attached. No rush.
